What makes WKUK skits so timeless is that, unlike many sketch shows, they don't just have a single concept and run it until it is boring. They always have big kicker or twist at the end that leaves it feeling both fresh and hilarious. The "salad tasting" skit is the perfect example.
That's why they ran out of ideas and ended the show. I believe they said that after the 4th or 5th season they just thought they've done all they wanted to do and didn't want to drag it out or revisit ideas.
@@arthurchen6464 Well they did Civil War on Drugs which was unofficially the 6th season, but IFC apparently wasn't 100% behind them doing long-form stuff and didn't renew their contract. I recall them saying they weren't upset by it because they pretty much had no plans to continue writing sketches anyway.
@@zanguusu basically. its not a pitbulls fault that people breed them generally as guard or attack dogs. just like its not german shepherd's fault they are most often chosen for police work... you cant just say its in a pitbulls nature to attack and kill pople because of its breed just like you cant say the same thing about black people in america. its society and communities fault that things are the way they are for them.
It's completely legal to sell dog or cat meat in any of the 44 states that haven't prohibited it. They've been trying to pass federal legislation against it for years (and there's currently a bill from March that's been awaiting action from the House Agriculture Committee), but nothing's yet been done. The states that prohibit any dog or cat meat are Michigan, Virginia, California, Hawaii, New York, and Georgia. Quite an eclectic group of states, and I'm sure they all have Chinese restaurants and NY, Hawaii, and California have a particularly large amount of Chinese immigrants. I just think it's usually such a rare taboo, that it's not something that's even on the radar for most of the other states or even the federal government.
I honestly don't see why it shouldn't be be other than to protect pets from being stolen like they are in Asia. Just because we've domesticated them doesn't make it morally any different to eat them than other animals, it just feels a bit weird.
Have any of you actually had dog? I went to a Chinese buffet in a pretty rural town that had some meat I've never had before. The skin was crisped red, and the meat was similar looking to duck except more stringy. It was definitely marinated and was actually really good.
So, I think I've watched pretty much everything with Trevor on youtube, and everytime I believe I understand how his sense of humour works, there's videos like this one that leave me baffled. Completely baffled.
From the opening paragraph from it's Wikipedia page: "Ain't is a colloquialism and contraction for "am not", "is not", "are not", "has not", and "have not" in the common English language vernacular. In some dialects ain't is also used as a contraction of "do not", "does not", and "did not". The usage of ain't is a perennial subject of controversy in English. Widely used by many people, and found in most dictionaries[1] its use is often considered to be informal, nonstandard, or improper."
the internet wasn't "invented" anywhere. It more evolved overtime across the globe. It started in many countries as a way to communicate across universities, and has changed into the amazing tool it is today
It might have had its roots in something similar, yes, but CERN is where it was first decided that it should be made available to everyone, not just within the specific organisation.
It was founded by immigrants from all over. It was a bunch of colonies started by the French, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, the Dutch and the Spanish. The UK undermined the others until most of the area was theirs. The reason the founders of the United States chose the Roman republic as a model was because it was pretty much the exact opposite of the monarchy that they were trying to escape. All of the expanding empires pretty much stopped around 1945 or so.
I did weigh whether I should use the term European or specify English. I went with English because the people who founded the US government were largely of English descent. But it hardly matters, because the Romans had the same impact on France and Germany as well (not sure about Spain...)

I can't believe he is gone. RIP Trevor Moore
When I heard that Trevor died, I immediately thought of this scene. Thanks for being there in my time of need. RIP see you on the other side.
I still can’t believe he’s dead

I love Trevor's character in this.
Richard Simtherson?
I love Trevor's character in pretty much every sketch lol
I love how nearly every character he plays is insane and has no idea he is, even when people call him out.
:((
"Why are you harassing us?" lol!
1:39 Timmy's voice there gets me every time. I know it's not much, but it's the little stuff X,,D
Not as good as his voice in the dog poop restaurant skit
I swear there was a version of this where when the cook and Trevor made a break for it, you could see several cats escaping from the kitchen.
Sorry I mean several chicken.

What I love in the intro is that.
Timmy is the one doing sports.

Anyone else realize, Trevors character in this is supposed to mimic the server in ferris buelers day off?

@Mosixman perhaps its because they had already recieved news of thier cancellation.
They passed up a golden opportunity to shout "Cheese it, it's the feds!" as they ran away.
except that's a stupid, unfunny idea.
Lmao i love Timmys performance in this

I guess they couldn't fill the restaurant with a bunch of Alf puppets.
