Oh Allah ! Forgive them, have mercy on them, keep them safe, pardon them, arrange for them honorable hospitality, expand their graves, wash them clean with water, snow and hail, cleanse them from sins and wrongdoings like we clean white cloth from dirt. Give them good reward for their good acts, and pardon and mercy for their sinful acts so that they live in content in the interiors of graves, are safe when all witnesses stand up, and are running towards the high levels of Your paradises.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ، وَعَافِهِمْ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُمْ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُمْ، وَاغْسِلْهُمْ بِالْماَءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّهِم مِّنَ الذُّنُوْبِ وَالْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَجَازِهِمْ بِالْحَسَنَاتِ إحْسَانًا، وَبَالسَّيِّئَاتِ عَفْوًا وَّغُفْرَانًا، حَتّٰى يَكُوْنُوْا فِيْ بُطُوْنِ الْأَلْحَادِ مُطْمَئِنِّيْنَ، وَعِنْدَ قِيَامِ الْأَشْهَادِ آمِنِيْنَ، وَإلٰى أَعْلٰى جَنَّاتِكَ سَابِقِيْنَ

I’ve lost my Father 2 weeks ago while he was on vacation in our country Bangladesh. He had a second stroke, went to ICU then they put him on life support. My grandfather passed away on 17th April 2023, in the month of Ramadan, a day before Laylat ul-Qadr. He was a great Human Being as well as a Muslim. He did Dhikr 24/7.He also suffered from Covid 19 between 2021-22, he was in critical condition but survived. He loved me so much as I was the only grandson in the family. My dad passed away 33 days ago from cancer,he was my best friend. I told him literally everything about me especially in his older years. I grew fond of him that we spoke almost everyday and the days I don’t call he would say”please call everyday”.
I miss him so much I don’t even know how to mourn him. Even in his last days he was going through so much pain but will always smile at me and say am fine, there is no pain.
He was a very generous man even in his sick bed he was giving out charity like that made him happy the most.

If you look closely, Allah provided a dua from the Quran for us children to ask for mercy on our parents and not forgiveness. Meaning, our parents are above being forgiven, like they come clean before Allah. Inshallh the ones you lost are in good standing with Allah. Ameen.
