@shik51 i say it in the first video but.... they dont do anything to help performance. but what they do is take away a pump that adds air to the exhaust. this added air gives you an innacurate fuel air ratio. so if you get it tuned at a shop or with a self tunning system you wont have the right numbers to tune with until you put on he block offs... it also takes air from the air box so i guess you could say the engine doesnt have to share its air?
Lol you dont need to take off the airbox top to do this mod, just 3mm hex bolts from the side and use a socket on the 10mm bolt at the top, then disconnect wires as you states
@navydude0985 its not likley that these would result in a ticking unless not tightend all the way. it may just be in his head that its louder.. but kawis are famous for their tick... he may need to adjust his cct but only if its very loud
So i had the shop do spark plugs and air filter on my bike, over the winter storage. So now There is a buzzing/rattling noise by the wheel damper/front end/under the gas tank/ram air intake of the bike. It sounds like a lose bolt is moving around when ever i go over bumps. It Buzzes and rattles between 4k-6k rpm 1-5th gear. I took it back last week. Went to pick it up Today, & they told me the ram air intake was lose so they tightened it. Rode it home, and herd it soon as i left the shop 🤦♂️. Anyone have any clue on what it could be?
@@Tatted_gunna hell no, im pretty sure they either left something in there or didnt screw something on tight. How ever when i tap the gas tank when its low on gas, i can hear it. I did lift the tank to check around but couldnt find anything. I did see that one of the rubber tank dampners/ washers were missing. so idk if thats causing it also.
@@Tatted_gunna yours could be the CCT, (cam chain tensioner) every kawasaki eventually goes through it, get it replaced, but dont put on a manual one. do the regular factory one. Bc to get to the manual one you gotta take off the fairing, its a pain in the ass. and the shop will charge you 100$ every time they adjust it. So replace it with the OEM CCT and itll adjust its self.
helps get accurate air/fuel ratings when tuning your bike on a dyno

@PAPICHULO02007 yes it did, i taped it up pretty good and the staple was wedged in there

Can u just put marble on the hose to stop the airflow?i saw brocks did it on his gsxr1kr
Anyone know if this would be the same on the 2013 ZX6r?
I thought the reed valves were suppose to be removed?
Does it matter which way they go? I put my driven logo towards the back of the motor. Should I flip them?
What exactly does a block off plate do? Thanks !
what do they do to help the bike as far as performance?
Well done!!!
did you use the original bolts or new ones?
Did the staple stay put?

I have the same issue did u figure out what it was causing the noise?

@@mcturk17 yeah mines a constant buzz around 5k in any gear, honestly sounds like the ignition is making the noise.

@@mcturk17 it already has a manual one. Found out what the noise was, it was a loose bolt on the ram air. Now no more annoying sounds 🤙🏼
does it make the bike run any better
whats the actually pair valve?
