Question pleaae..i know its asked before. If i run a vm will it have its own ip? The reason is i run nodes for my cryptos.. and i can't run them on same computer because its linked to my windows key and i dont think ip is the issue...but would like to know..
I already have external address, and i think it is not static. I have a website using the external ip address, but when the next day i want access to it, it's not working, it takes too much time and showing "requests time out". Do you know why? And can i recover the data without missing anything on the website?
Thank you Stephanie , thanks your video I fixed my googlelab step. I was stuck ont it , because the VM had not a public ip and I didn't can download the rdp file.
There is a little of inconsistencies in the speech, first you said the IPs are ephemeral and if you restart the VMs you will lose them, then you come up with a solution to keep those IPs, but this time you are referring to shutdown a machine instead of a restart. I am wondering if restarting a VM really makes you lose the IP now, I think you meant to say shut down or destroy at the very beginning - not restart.
You lose your IP when your VM shuts down and you receive a new one when it starts up again. Restarting a VM does both so you will get a new ephemeral IP regardless of which you do if you don't set a static IP
I have a problem hope someone can give a tip?? So at 3am last night i got an email from (lisa) saying they are near my area (location) which is scary then so i replied being polite saying "sorry this is?" Now when i load google it says (lisa's) IP adress can not be found
I liked the video. It's short and covers important information on the IP addresses.
Can I have static internal ip? Because through VPC you showed static external ip address option only.

can't ping my vm, although ip is static, firewall off and default icmp ?
Yes it works. but once you check interfaces from inside there is only internal one.

Thanks!
