- Hey folks! In today’s videos we’re back with another Gold Stake Balatro run. Here, an early Telescope and Rough Gem (which is quickly becoming one of my favorite econ Jokers) lead to a preference for Diamond Flushes and, eventually, the very important goal of making every card in my deck a Diamond. Enjoy the video!
Balatro is a poker roguelike deck building game centered around creating powerful synergies and winning with big hands. In it, you can combine valid poker hands with unique Jokers in order to create varied synergies and builds. Earn enough chips to beat blinds, including challenging boss blinds, to make it to the next ante and progress your run!

After watching Roffle miss the Flush House I had to join a monastery and self-flagellate to atone for his Balatro sins.

every time roffle plays any card or doesn't play any card it causes me real unbearable physical pain to the point that i'm literally writhing on the floor in anguished tears screaming till my voice is hoarse, why would streamer man do this to me?

I just beat gold stake for the first time ever. Used yellow deck it was scuffed asf but was able to squeeze by Cerulean Bell

Any tips on Black Deck Gold Stake? or is it basically all rng luck lol. I hate this deck with a passion.
I'm on that right now, prioritize blue seals/planets and deck fixing early, find a scalable joker (wee, tarot, spare pants etc) and then find a mult multer to finish up
My first black deck victory was using trousers and getting really lucky by getting canio for multing. I also was able to pick up 3 negative tags along the way. The only way to victory with black deck is playing extra risky in spots, but once you get good jokers and econ, black deck can steamroll. Also I was only able to win because of a final shop that was extremely clutch
Though negative tags are pretty much never worth it

Stencil is crazy, I won black deck with it and 3 other jokers, obelisk and bus being my other scoring jokers, and another was an eternal holographic common that I was stuck with because I took it earlier to survive

I had a run that made even some headway into Ante 13 yesterday; where I had Blueprint; Hologram and Certificate of Athenticity.
The game notably started to lose frames with my 145 card deck.
Right after watching this video, I had a run on green deck, with rough gem, and converted the whole deck to diamonds. Thanks for the luck mr. streamer

but it’s still sad to see a black hole be unused like that
the flush house would have been more optimal because both vampire value (vampire my beloved) and the 2nd hand would result in more money (i love money) at the cost of making jupiter slightly rarer and not making chat upset
so missing the flush house was absolutely the correct play there
When I saw the second hand of the Diamond boss, I thought to myself "wait, how did that score so much more? Wait- He didn't..." Rewound, yes he did. Straight flush! Started laughing, then when he realized, I just about died. I think that's my favorite Roffle moment so far, I rarely laugh that hard
31:07 I also do this. I hook up my phone to my spare monitor so the laptop can focus on running Balatro. With Roffle pr NorthernLion on the monitor it gives me more confidence on higher stakes.
This video was a lovely accompaniment to some microwave reheated pizza

Riffle, I’m gonna admit something to you. I am a type A chatter. I regularly watch these videos and nitpick tiny little optimizations you miss. But then, I do not win nearly as consistently as you do. I probably have about 100 hours, and I have only managed to make it to gold stake on abandoned deck, and I have not beat it yet

Black hole doesn't increase constellation so the Jupiter was the better play
