I tried changing the battery in the remote already but that didn’t work either I’ve done some 2+ hour drives in the car and the remote still didn’t work after that either. I’ve heard this is a pretty common issue
To be honest the gen 1 mini are the one to have because the turbo mini is unreliable. Unlike the supercharged mini the engine is very roomy easy to work on and is reliable
I would drive it, if I could fix it, it’s just so annoying to figure out what the effe is wrong with them. I had to let an F56 go recently after sinking 5-6k into it after only a year of owning…
The keys on the facelift cars charge in the ignition on a long run so try that and see if it then starts working with the central locking
