Those thrusters were 100% clean reps! Cross fit is not easy aaand it's NOT designed to be conventional weightlifting/bodybuilding. Shiro Kage suure... keep telling yourself that :) If you try a Butterfly pullup, you will feel the burn greatly, while you heart rate go up. Yes, a pull-up will most likely build more strength, but the kipping ones will make you tired real quick.
Shiro Kage fitness is not only strenght, but also stamina, power, speed, agility, endurance and so on. This is also a race, a test, so you have to do more work possibile in a certain time. More work=more fitness. When you train, instead, you do lots of strict stuff for strenght. Is like saying a push jerk is cheating because it’s not a strict military press. Just stupid. Know your stuff please.
@exxinferis24 Just try this workout. Kipping pull ups are not for building strength. They are for keeping your heart rate up while switching between different movements. If you tried this workout I bet you would have more respect for what you witnessed in the video.
