Been on Crown Magnetar since their first album “The Prophet of Disgust”. Speaking of EPs I was jamming Suicide Silence, Chelsea Grin, Carnifex, Winds of Plague EP during the beginning of the deathcore era. Remember playing CoD blasting that shit through my gaming banana chair with speakers in it. Illegally downloaded through LimeWire lmao and slapped on aux through the iPod Video.
I disagree with it being bigger than ever. In both the Hair Metal (arguable wether that is metal or Hard Rock) and the Nu Metal Era Metal was basically mainstream. Korn and Blink-182 were all over TRL and I’m pretty sure Hybrid Theory is in the Top 20 best selling albums of all time. But I think the genre is probably bigger than it has been in the last 10-15 years.
@@TStizzle19 I mean I know that. I just thought maybe a dude like Garza that came up in the same scene as Vincent would be cool. Like the Whitechapel episode was dope hearing them talk about the old days. TAS, specifically Vincent, has been around the same amount of time, same tours and shit. It's wishful thinking. Vincent is more positive now so ya never know 😂
So stoked I discovered this podcast. I seriously look forward to every new episode. One of my favourite podcasts hands down. These guys just got a new fan. They are cool dudes and their music is sick! Rock on Garza 🤘🇨🇦
Man these guys are the real deal. Really loving the old school meets new school sound. Brutal as all hell too!!! Their tones on every release are so satisfying too.
Met Grant in Reno at the Carnifex show and talked to him for the whole night. Super chill and awesome dude, made the whole show for me. Was too afraid to talk to Dan...dude is jacked and im a fat dude lmao
Lmao I had a similar story when I was at Chaos and Carnage in Sayreville. Born of Osiris were about to play and I looked to my left and was standing right next to Dan. Wanted to say what’s up but I was nervous because I was just taken aback by it lmao
Probably THE most brutal band in the genre right now. And yes, Dan Tucker is by far the most handsome man in deathcore. You could do laundry on his chest.
I like when this guitarist also includes clean tones like the beginning of the first single they dropped from their upcoming album. Good interview. 🤘🎸🤘
Coolest fuckin dudes, seen them years ago when their first album dropped and Dan, Byron, and nick each took the time to bullshit with me individually. I told dan I had just followed him on insta so he pulls out his phone and tells me to pull mine up so he can follow back. Super down to earth dudes and write the most brutal music!
35:05 thank you for being on the side of reason on that subject bc ur right, not everybody feels like moshing and it irritates the piss out of me when I see all these comments shitting on ppl who paid to see a show and all the commenter is worried about is the "weak crowd" it's like bro that shit ain't got nothing to do with you why you worried about it. Granted if I don't feel like going crazy then I'm not going to go out of my way to be in the brunt of the chaos I'll go stand off to the side I don't care lol. Ok rant over carry on
Thats dope, Didn't know Dan was from Maine. I am from Maine as well and he's not wrong about there being no deathcore scene up here. The last few years heavy shows have been happening more frequently like Lorna Shore coming up this month etc. Would absolutely love to see Crown Magnetar do a show in Maine one day.
I love these! You really keep it going and I watch the whole episode. Definitely have a gift for this! IDK your process, but there is some dry mouth coming through - not to be that commenter or anything 🤣🤣Seriously, thanks for awesome content man, happy for you!
I discovered them just about a week ago through iTunes. I started with a sweet little song called “Hex ov Hate”. First it started with the ugliest heaviest riff I’v ever heared and then when the drums and vocals kicked in I just had to stop that track like after 10 seconds, put my headphones down and just tried to realise what have I just heard. It’s unbelievably heavy. (I was decently high when I did this) I love this band.
damn I'm stoked to hear yall say the god delusion and the human hive are big influences, I can totally hear it. There's something in the water out there!
🤣 My kids are subject to deathcore on drives with me. These hour episodes go by so fast too! It's wild to me how many people just seemingly randomly come together to form bands.
I saw them awhile back when they had only the first ep out and man to see only 20 other people there was stupid. They deserved so much more but it was tight moshing with twins and the vocalist during their set
We only met them one night in Houston playing the same gig & These guys treated us like we've been life long friends, Nicest dudes in the world!
Theres no better treat than falling in love with a band and then the cherry on top is that they are absolutely charming individuals.
I'm so glad you got to do an interview with these guys. Absolute monsters live

Hard agree on metal being bigger than ever. Knocked loose playing Coachella this year was huge for heavy music!

Seen them live with lorna shore before I knew who they were and now they are like my fav deathcore band tbh
Crown magnetar is so dope. One of the best newer deathcore bands. And tight as fuck live.
We ever getting a The Acacia Strain episode? 👀
Vinnie doesn't do pods
@@fearthefnbeard well damn. Scratch that idea
@@Beezle66yeah Vincent is very anti a lot of things like this haha love that he always pushes to get lesser known bands on their tours though

I could see TAS in-studio. Vincent did Hardlore.
Best current deathcore band aside from to the grave
They’re both great, right now my favorite is probably Darko though
Nothin beats beneath the massacre for me. Never heard of these guys so I just checked out prismatic tomb and it is pretty sick.
@@Rob_Cary all of their stuff is amazing
They're pretty damn good but I gotta go with Spite
@@Ken-bp3ql ay you cant ever go wrong with spite. Fucking rad ass band

Saw these guys for the first time on the Chaos and Carnage tour and I remember just watching them in awe! They were soooo great! 🤘🏼

This bands absolutely badass! And a bunch of awesome dudes creating this music!. Love what these guys are doing! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

I can assure you Dan is an awesome, friendly dude! You have no reason to be intimidated by the man
YES! The new singles have all been GREAT! Very excited for the album on the 14th

The boys!!!!!

Seem like such down to earth dudes. Can’t wait to see them live 🤘
Met these dudes in Atlanta. Amazing live and solid genuine guys.
Might be the chillest, nicest episode yet. Even more stoked for the album now!
4 beautiful men becoming the face of deathcore….❤ in love

Love this Podcast! Thanks Garza \m/
CM kills! Good to see them on the show. These guys deserve more recognition.
someone needs to drop the link for that first recorded secret album they were talking about. 🙏
The Good Doctor - 2010 demo songs
You got to get Kublai Khan on next!! Please! They're so good to not have on the podcast.
Very cool to see one of our biggest modern-metal inspirations on here! Crown Magnetar kicks ass 🤘🤘🤘
Hell yes. Been following these guys since 2018
Repping CO! They mentioned Denver, CO springs, Fort Collins. That’s home

Colorado boys 🤘🤘🏔🏔
Crown mf Magnetar!!! 🙌🏼
I was absolutely sure they’d say TAIM - HATE for influences.
bought dan a shot in berkley late 2022. cool ass dude. Yall gotta come up to Alaska.
I remember when the black crown dropped and I saw in a forum that if you illegally download it, it has commentary. Wish I still had that version
Pretty sure that commentary is floating around on TH-cam, I remember seeing a vid of Mitch and mark stoned talking about each song
Grant is a fucking great dude
He really is. Chill as fuck

fuck yeah! can't wait for their new album!!!
I love this guys
Did anyone find the demo they talked about at 19:00?
Yes! Search for “The Good Doctor- Demo Songs 2010” and it’ll pop up

Remember Grant in Widowmaker
Anyone have a link to their first recorded stuff?
I thought they were Australian. Boris the Blade absolutely ripped. Their singer was nuts to watch live.
damn I'm stoked to hear yall say the god delusion and the human hive are big influences, I can totally hear it. There's something in the water out there!
Whats the first demo album they did called
It’s called “The Good Doctor- Demo songs 2010”
🤣 My kids are subject to deathcore on drives with me. These hour episodes go by so fast too! It's wild to me how many people just seemingly randomly come together to form bands.
What was the name of the first demo they did?? Can’t find it.
Anyone who says “can they play for real” are not musicians. All true musicians are aware nothing is impossible. Practice practice practice.
Would love to see archspire or wormhole on the podcast
Wormhole would be amazing!
Sick band. Still waiting for snuffed on sight to make an appearance
They’re fucking beasts.. Keep it up guys 🔥🤘🏻 Loved the podcast Garza🫡🔥
YESSS
Tourketo sounds hilarious but awesome

magnetar is fucking sick
They are so chill :'v
