    I genuinely thought Edge only wore the motorcycle helmet to protect his head while spearing Cena through a table. And wore the rest of the clothes just in case there were thumbtacks on the canvas or something. This was after his Wrestlemania match with Mick Foley, so it's understandable he'd be wary of that sort of thing.

    A more recent, and really good one, was Jericho at All In. Pretending to be Penta, but being almost instantly recognisable when he hit the Codebreaker. And the taunt: "Kenny Omega! I'll see you on the Jericho cruise."

    • @kevinfrank8164
      @kevinfrank8164 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      The coolest part was in one of Jericho’s books he mentioned doing a similar spot with Rey Mysterious, but where he took the mask off way too soon so the audience didn’t have enough time to react. This was in like ‘08 or ‘09 and he mentioned it to say that even as an almost 20 year veteran he still had things to learn. Like a decade later he got his chance to do it better with Penta and he let the anticipation for the unmasking build and build and it got an enormous reaction. Reading his book in 2013 made it feel like a 5 year payoff and it was just the most satisfying feeling.

They wrestled the same, had the same body and she had been recently feuding with Moolah. Everything was off and you could tell. The announce team sold it and everything. If Wendi is telling the truth, and didnt actually know, she was the only one who DIDN'T. The whole audience booed and there was a heavy vibe in the air, because you knew something strange had just happened.

    How about Big Daddy ripping off Kendo Nagasaki's mask in December 1975 to reveal he had a shaven tatooed head (except for the ponytail)? Or the unmasking ceremony in December 1977 which wowed people so much it turned Nagasaki blue-eye (babyface) for severa months as a result?
