  • Megalithic stone blocks, including megalithic cyclopean polygonal masonry. Elaea or Elaia (Ancient Greek: Ἐλαία), also Elea (Ἐλέα), was a town of Thesprotia in ancient Epirus toward the mouth of the Acheron river. The town is mentioned by Ptolemy. Thucydides calls the surrounding district Elaeatis (Ἐλαιατις) and indicates that Ephyra was in the territory of Elaea. Its port was Elaias Limen, literally the "Bay of Elaea", which the Periplus of Pseudo-Scylax asserts was the main port of Thesprotia.
Coins ascribed to the town, with the inscription "ΕΛΕΑΤΑΝ" or "ΕΛΕΑΙ", have been found that have been dated c. 360-335 BCE.

hi Vlad just wanted to say something about the knobs on the stones, the knobs give a extra weight to the stone, so in case of tremors, these stones with knobs would always fall back into the direction of the added weight ,hereby controling the wall and how it behaves during earthquakes.
i believe that this is the only logical explanation.
    love your videos

      Very interesting theory you have
Should attempt to model the construction
Simulate it to see its movement
Adobe acrobat or other to build simulation

Hello, i think knobs is the specific traces from ancient quarry , Same knobs from China and Indonesia to Egypt, Greece, Italy, Sicily, Peru and Bolivia, and etc - a same traces !

I know that very often these knobs were then removed from the walls

Alternatively, knobs are an indication that they didn't have plywood forms and had to use straps or ties of some sort to keep the baskets from blowing out when they poured the cement mix. Yes, this means they poured and did not quarry these things. Which is more likely? When you pour, perfect fits are Unavoidable; when you chip, haul, grind and lift, perfect fits are still impossible. Which is more likely? QED

@@henryhewitt1571 Well, if the stone can be traced by geologists to ancient quarries and analysed to be NOT a geopolymer but a known form of stone (as they have been in many megalithic sites), I'd say the blocks were cut rather than poured into moulds. Furthermore, given that MOST blocks do not have knobs, I'd say your explanation does not even get off the ground....

Thanks Vlad. It stands to reason that the Pelasgians came down to Greece that way, and Dodona is the most ancient of the oracles if memory serves. What makes you so sure they were sea people? I think it is arguable whenever you see the root - Pel - as in Pelops and Peleus and even Perseus (as R & L are virtually interchangeable) and the Persians that we are looking at people from the Highlands as opposed to shore or sea people. I say this because Akhilles, a force of nature like a furious runoff in a springtime river -- like the one that tried to kill him in the Iliad -- was the son of both the Sea goddess Thetis and the Mountain man Peleus; the raging torrent starts in the mountains. It stands to reason that during the flood of Noah and or Ogygia the highlanders survived -- Ararat/Gobeklitepe. They inherited the earth, for awhile. Then Phaethon crashed dad's chariot, set fire to the highlands, which is why the Cappadocians went underground, and the sea people, such as Minos and his Thalassocracy took the stage. This has yet to be proven but it is reasonable. Thanks -- always a pleasure.

I believe in the hypothesis that the first rulers of Arcadia and Argolis were the Canaanites (Phoenicians), possibly coming from the area of Mount Hermon in Syria and from the area of the five cities of Canaan, near the Dead Sea.
Where Odysseus saw the Cyclopes on an island near North Africa, this is a colony of the Phoenicians.
All these soothsayers, prophets, oracles and others of that period served to Apollo Libyan descendant of Amon Ra (MARDUK).
I checked who Apollo is ? - and it turned out that he is Hor-Aha (son of Narmer, and both Canaanites) . Narmer first pharaoh of Upper Egypt and Hoar-Aha is second pharaoh (they both is Canaanites)

According to the epic of Gilgamesh, Noah's ark (Utnapishtim, Ziusudra, Atrahasis) stopped on Mount Nisir (Nimush) of the Zagros Mountains, not Ararat.
I checked when this flood happened ? - (not global) and it turned out that it happened around 3700-3650 BC. Flood (cyclopean tsunami) from the asteroid Burckle crater in the Indian Ocean.
Noah (Utnapishtim, Ziusudra, Atrahasis) from the city of Shuruppak, of Goddesses Ninhursag and Ninlil (Sud), of Late Stone Age period, Ubaid culture and Period.
Enoch (Enmendurana, Emmenduranki) from the city of Sippar, Late Stone Age period, Ubaid culture and Period (but he also lived in the Copper Age). Enoch (Enmendurana, Emmenduranki) the first human who fly in space with angels Adad and Utu. The second which fly in space is Lugalbanda and his son Gilgamesh.

I have been wondering who the titans were, the Greeks mention them and said a few stories but not much detail, nothing about where they originated. The Greeks seemed more interested in who had sex with whom and their children than in providing information that might help us understand.
Cocytus and Acheron were rivers in Hades... interesting. I notice the builders of this town decided to build it on top of a mountain.

The most important thing that the ancient Greeks left is the myth about URANUS and KRONOS .. and how it turned out - Uranus is the Sumerian God Anu (AN, URANUS) .. And the fallen Kronos is Kumarbi (Alalgar), descendant of fallen Alalu
