      I used to live in Colorado Springs, and that is just over 6,000. I just remembered I saw Thomas Dolby there many years ago! The altitude sure didn't slow him down! Anyway... CDMX is significantly higher. Denver is called the Mile High City at 5,280. I'm sure The Warning would perform well in either of those places. They should avoid Leadville (10,000 ft.), though! I just wish they were still coming to Denver. In a different world it would have been a short bus or light rail ride for me.

    The Drummer is smart as hell too. She sets up and runs their mid tracks that play with their instrumentals just like a major band would do but she does it herself and runs it during the show. And the way she was involved in setting up the home studio they’ve been using for live shows with #StayAtHome is pretty awesome. They write their own songs too. The youngest one is pretty damned awesome on bass too especially for her age.

      @@TheUnderdogDe True. You can already feel the difference at that height. A few summers ago I flew from sea level to Cusco in Peru, which is at around 3,400 meters (11,150 feet) elevation. Coming out of the air plane, I felt like mildly drunk, and my fingers were cold as ice (blood concentrating around main organs) - the first few nights, I would occasionally wake up gasping for air. Took about four days before I felt normal, which was a good thing, since I had a hike ahead of me that took me much higher. 😬
      I can't imagine how good Pau's fitness must be to be able to pound on those drums with such ferocity, AND sing at the same time, while doing it at an elevation her body is not accustomed to. She is SO impressive in many ways.

    Two things you brought up. First, the energy. This band is electric live. They are one of those bands that has “it”. From the second they take the stage, they are in their element, and they demand your attention. No shoe gazing, or concentrating on how, or what they are playing. You better be ready, because these three bring it, every show.
    Second. Sound, and specifically volume. OMG, they do not play around. First time I saw them live, was January ‘19, at the Whisky a Go Go. They are the textbook definition of “wall of sound”. My equilibrium was knocked out of whack for several days afterward. I was standing in line, outside the building, while they sound checked. No open doors, or windows, and they were freaking loud through the walls!
    I haven’t been this excited about a band, in decades. Welcome to the fandom, or as we call it The Warning Army (TWA). 🤘🏻❤️⚠️

    Great reaction!
    Now, if you really want to enjoy this song, you have to know that this is the first song in a 13 songs concept album. It's an album that tells a whole (dark) story.
    Like other here, I really suggest that you listen to the songs in their order, and even try to understand the story.
    The album name is Queen of the Murder Scene. It is as dark as it sounds...
    Next song:
    Crimson Queen. The only balad song in this album. A beautiful one.
    Thanks a lot!

    Maunalee, this song is the First Song of their second Album called "Queen Of The Murder Scene" it's a Concept Album it Tells a Dark story of a Woman who's in love with a Man that doesn't know she exists there 13 songs on the Album this song Dust To Dust is the Preface then there are 4 Chapters to the Story with 3 songs in each Chapter, since you started story you should react to each song in order on the Album, and FYI that man that came on Stage is their Manager Rudy Joffroy.

    Can't you give them props for not autotuning the hell out of the vocals. The rawness is what makes great rock bands great. Nobody is always pitch perfect... unless they augment it with vocal fry, autotune or excessive vibrato...

    • @MaddogJones
      @MaddogJones 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nahadoth2087 No but those techniques are used to mask being off pitch, in fact vibrato was first used to mask the pitch shift introduced by the very first phonographs. Vocal fry was a technique that gained popularity with the hard rock and later grunge rock genres, having that tone would even out the pitch of the vocal.

      I think she gave them serious props. Dan y was pitchy and she is on nearly every song in this performance mostly because of trying to put too much emotion into the song. 9.5 is actually better than I would have given this performance and it's the one that made me a fan. It is ok to acknowledge the faults of a performance and still enjoy it. In fact that's why I prefer live performances. Music has become too sterile. I like a little human with my music.

I'm an old guy, seen the best Rock has had to offer since the early 60's,but I've never seen or heard anything like these girls! I've seen them live at the Whisky 3 times and flew from Ohio to to get there, worth every cent! This is the most fan appreciative band you will ever meet and the girls humble & humorous personalities are beyond compare. I've also had the opportunity to talk to them on several different occasions and they are truly sweethearts. They even asked to meet my then 7 year old grandson who loves them,so I took him to LA and they did exactly as they said and treated him like royalty. As I said, welcome to TWA, there's no escape! The drummer, Paulina, is such a virtuous musician. She is the one that composes most of the music, thatswhat they have said, and also the lyrics and concept of the music. And I get you when you choose a favorite, every Warning fan has their favorite out of the three and they all have something to offer individually as a musician. Ale the bassis and shiest of the three, for being 13 (i believe) in this video is a killer bassist. You should hear her play covering Metallica's Atlas Rise or Queen of the murder Scene. They all can sing and also play piano. They are clasically trained in classic Piano playing from Brahms to Bach. Those videos they also have in their channel. And Dany, she is just the leader more mature sister who for me has a lot to do with the growth of the band because she was born to be onstage. At a young age she posseses the skills to interact with the crowd and all this in her second language. So if you read this and wanna check out more you might like "sinister smiles" or start with Chapter one of Queen of the muerder scene, which I would strongly suggest you to

    Pau (the drummer) was not happy with this performance. She said she wishes we would quit sending this particular video to reactors. lol. This was the opening song of their biggest show up to this point. It was their first time as a headliner in front of a sold out crowd in Mexico City. The altitude was an issue with their singing because of the thinner air. Add in some major nerves because it was the night their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene released. Well, they had released the prologue (Dust to Dust) and 3 3 song chapters over about a 2 month period. Then this was the night chapter 4 was released, so the last 3 songs had never been performed live.
    The whole album is very well done. It has a great mix, and follows a woman's mind from an obsession over unrrequited love, through her declension into psychosis. I'm sure someone is going to recommend you listen to all of the songs of the album in order. I would not argue against that point. I've had it on repeat for a year and a half now.

    The Foro Didi concert is a later show where they are more practiced. The first post has the times for each song: th-cam.com/video/yV8gpIrIR9s/w-d-xo.html This was the first time they did the entire Queen of the Murder Scene album. This is a concept album which tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder to self-loathing to suicide. The songs are told from the point of view of either the young lady's inner psychopath or her good side, which has a conscience - until it does not.
    Dust to Dust is a prologue. The Spanish section is that of a preacher saying that you can receive salvation but it is something that you must work for. The lyrics have deeply religious undertones - life is short and unpredictable (“How quickly things can unfold”); there is an afterlife (“and we shall start again” and “the truth found in death”); we should distrust false prophets (“where are you going? Don’t trust all that you hear”); and judgement (“I don’t seek right or wrong”).

    Thanks for the reaction! This was recorded in Nov. 2018 in Mexico City, so take into consideration they are playing at 7350 feet in elevation in thin polluted air. Again, IMHO, not the best song to give you an Idea of their skills. You have managed to pick songs that show off Paulina, The Drummer over her sisters. They are all top notch, and the more you see of The Warning, you will begin to appreciate how good all of them are.
    The more you listen, the more you will like!
    here are some suggestions:
    from their first album, this is their ONLY Music video to date: XXI (21st) Century Blood: th-cam.com/video/syTyga3lVL0/w-d-xo.html
    From their second album, "Queen of the Murder Scene":

    P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. >> th-cam.com/video/k5xIB4_BRb8/w-d-xo.html
    And their latest single and only Spanish language song (It ROCKS in any language):

    Great reaction. I'd love to here what you are thinking as you watch the video. Here's my read-between-the-lines interpretation of their manager Rudy's part. Anyone please correct me in however I have mangled this interpretation. In some interview, somewhere, awhile ago, (lol) I remember the girls being asked about it. They seemed a little embarrassed and said it was their mother's idea and their mother insisted that it be part of the song. Now, Rudy's lines loosely translate to a sermon on the only way to being saved is through salvation. Kind of a crazy street preacher rant in my opinion. My interpretation is that this is the girl's mother sending a message to the young men in the audience that they should not mess with her daughters unless their intentions are pure. And there you have it. PS Last note: It's not cheating if you look up the lyrics before hearing the song. As your 8 Ball might say, "You will be richly rewarded".

      Neville Corkin lol this is nothing. I am not a fan of paid reactions and will not do a pay per ever, I may become a patreon of a channel at some point. I had just asked a reactor with a huge amount of subs to react to The Warning. Later in the video he said that he would do a personal request for $100 US. I told him nevermind and haven't watched one of his reactions since even though he does a lot of music I like. Tell Evil to get on the ball!

    • @TheUnderdogDe
      @TheUnderdogDe 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Neville Corkin Nothing is free in this world, not even for a TH-cam reactor. If you do reactions well and a lot of people subscribe you are bound to get a lot of requests and keeping track of what to react to next in order not to be unfair will become a nightmare. Taking donations for reactions will make life easier and give her more time for her kids.
      There is no cause to worry about her being impartial in her judgments. Someone requested a bad Band-Maid song and didn't like her judgment, but I agreed with her regarding that particular song. They should have requested Onset Live instead.

    WOW!! 9.8! Alright!! The pitchy vocals obviously a small technical error but grading high nonetheless for artistic impression! ;-) Love how you are falling right into the deep, yet relentlessly enjoyable rabbit hole of The Warning discovery! Keep going! I'm sure folks are clamoring for you to do the whole concept album / rock novel in order of song, which is fine, but I'd love to get your take on Dany's improved vocals doing the title track (Queen of the Murder Scene) or Hunter. Or if you can't get enough of Pau, plus wanna hear Dany and some great harmonies from Ale, the youngest, then skip right ahead to Sinister Smiles!! The album is definitely in my top 5 of all time just cuz there are no bad songs (13) and it flows so beautifully, both conceptually and stylistically. Although there are a few surprising detours along the way, but that happens when you are writing about a deranged, psychotic mad woman who is at odds with herself and her inner demons! :-) \m/ \m/

      They have told a lot about favorites and what they like to listen to. They all have a REALLY wide range, but actually seems to be most attracted to modern pop and "pop'ish" rock bands. All three started with playing classical on piano. Their own songs seems to be a big mix of inspiratons, every song seems to go a little in it's own direction. But it generally seems to be a mix of the melodic from pop and the energy found in rock/metal.
