I like the cast of the movies, all of them or at least most of them are fairly good at their job, and even those who don't resemble their characters at all (physically), like Grover, were pretty good in my opinion, with that said, I'm not sure if Alexandra was the best choice for Annabeth, I mean, she's gorgeous and a decent actress, I think she can pull off Annabeth, but there are many other actresses who could have done an equally or even better Annabeth, and not just in looks, at least for me, I think Candice Accola could have done a good Annabeth, of course, that's just my opinion and mere speculation as there's no much to work with or to back up my statement other than Candice is really expressive in her acting and she's very good in TVD. Also, I kind of liked Logan Lerman as Percy, maybe it was the fact that when he was in the first movie he could have easily passed for a teenager with his adorable child like looks, he would need a little make-up and camera work but could do it, not to mention how he does seem to fit for the role just in general, but that might be just me who actually enjoyed his acting as Percy.

Unpopular opinion: yes these movies are really bad when you compare them to the books. But honestly if you're just watching the movies they are pretty decent.
No there not well to me he is the son of posiden but he rarely uses his water powers its really boring imo
I watched the movies first, in fact, I didn't know about the PJ books until I watched the movies, and because I liked the movies is that I ended up reading the books, and yes, the books are better than the movies, but considering that it was thanks to the movies that I met the PJ books and the fact that I've read lots and lots of PJ fan fiction, I just consider the movies as slightly AU and think of them as some sort of PJ fan fiction and enjoy them equally or more than in the past, still prefer the books though, but the movies and many ff are not that bad.

Don’t attack me, I like the movies, I always tell myself with book adaptations that they have the same base (names, time placement, what the characters are[ werewolf, demigod, demon, human]) but just that, I never think that the story would be the same, if I were ever to think that I would always be disappointed, I agree the books are 100% better than the movies, but the movies are not THAT bad
I'mma be real. I saw the first movie and that's what got me to read the books. The first movie at least is a decent film with a lot of missed opportunities. I don't even mind the movie aging them up really. But I'll always remember the scene in the St. Louis Arch where Percy took that leap of faith off the top - imagine how cinematic that would have been! Or the fight with Ares where Percy figures out the whole game - shows how smart the kid is. The second movie is more of the same missed moments but the dialogue is all dumbed down idk. The second book had pirate ships and Annabeth with the sirens - it wasn't even my favorite book but its still a letdown. So yeah the movies are alright (the first better than the second) if they were freestanding but compared to the book? boo.
tLT musical did a better job of adapting it and it still has the same overall tone as the books.

Are they really making an adaptation? Now I'm excited and scared, I've spent the last days, weeks even, of quarantine just reading PJ and also some PJ fan fiction, I was even considering watching the movies again, so the idea of an adaptation is thrilling, on the other hand, I'm worried about the cast and what will happen, I mean, I know people don't like the movies but I met PJ only because of the fact that I enjoyed the first movie, that's how I ended reading the PJ books, because of the movies, and I know the movies are slightly AU but they're still not that bad, not to mention I quite like Logan's Percy, and Grover, and Luke, I think the actors of these characters are particularly good in their portrayal of the characters.
