Hi Paula 🤗 Loved this vlog! Omg! Not a fan of trifle either! Really don't get what the big fuss is about 🙄 In my family, it's been tradition for years that we have crab curry and grilled prawns as part of our Christmas spread - so that is definitely my fave 😋 Along with roast lamb, veggies and salads... For dessert, I love anything chocolatey but not toooo sweet. Usually my sister and I take turns each year with making the dessert, and it's her turn this year, so let's see what she comes up with 😉 Merry Christmas to you and yours! #MPBChristmas 💖

I spend Xmas at my boyfriends' with his family. And they always have a 'South African' kinda lunch. Whatever we eat is either smoked or braai'ed. We'll have strawberry fridge tart, peppermint tart, malva pudding.... And instead of Jazz playing in the background, we have Mariah Carey and Michael Buble to sing along to. Basically a normal braai but with a Christmassy twist. 🥳💃🏻🎄

Hi Paula ❤️ Thanks for emphasising the true meaning of CHRISTmas and focusing our gaze on the birth our Saviour. Favourite food has to be the trifle (minus the fruit, keeping it simple and dishing before it stands and becomes soggy and un-lekkkeerr). Also, gotta love a Gamon sandwich on Boxing Day 😉 #MPBChristmas
I come from a small family that doesn't celebrate Christmas in the tradition sense, we do however prepare a meal that day. My favourite food around this time is trifle, I had the most delicious one a few years ago at a friend's house. Her mom made it from a recipe passed down 3 generations. It was so delicious as food made with love usually is. I think about that trifle a lot.

I absolutely LOVE Gammon! Not a Christmas goes by without me having lots of it. Even the next day (Boxing day) on some fresh rolls and mayo YUM YUM YUM :).

Christmas mince pies, Christmas fruit cake and Panettone!!! My own version of trifle which is minus the jelly, sponge cake and tinned fruit but rather chocolate muffins, chocolate yogurt, nuts and cream!! Tastes even better the next if you can hide some away for yourself ;)
My favourite Christmas foods are leg of lamb , stuffing oh yes stuffing and Turkey and peppermint tart especially when my mum makes it 😆

My ultimate favorite food to eat on Christmas is tongue 😍😍 I've been waiting WHOLE year lol and my favorite dessert is peppermint tart, not just anyone's peppermint tart but only my aunt's peppermint tart 😅😅. Hey Paula! I agree the traditional trifle with EVERYTHING but the kitchen sink in it, is too much for my tastebuds. It's soooo hard to choose my favorite Christmas food coz it's all made with some extra love, but it would have to be roast leg of lamb and spicy samoosas😋. It has to be jelly, custard, vanilla ice cream and peach slices. That's how I had it growing up and my Christmas is not complete without it! 😊 #MPBChristmas

My favourite has always been my mom's apple and honey glazed gammon, with my fave butternut and beetroot salad. This year will be different though, as I've recently gone vegetarian. Also... Have you considered trying a trifle variant? Wow I feel the same about trifle and I love a good Peppermint tart. My fav😍 a good homemade lemon cheesecake for dessert, I enjoy a variety of roasts with salads and a rich pasta. However, my family can't do without a hot curry so, we literally have to lay a table. 😅
So the roast potatoes, gammon and tongue is a must have on Christmas Day. Not forgetting the leg of lamb 🤤. I love peppermint tart but my favorite has to be my Aunty’s strawberry cheesecake !!! #MPBCHRISTMAS

It is my dad’s birthday on Christmas so to incorporate this into Christmas we usually have my dad’s favourite meal- some real ‘afval’. For the past few years my sister and I do the Christmas lunch cooking. My favourite food/ dessert to eat on Christmas day is all the cold meats, lasagne and especially the pineapple fridge tart (which my mom makes) 😍.

I'm not a big meat eater. I'd trade all the meat on my plate for proper gebakte aartappels. I want to hear and taste that crunch on the outside and then bite into that mushy softness on the inside. And it must have enough salt on it!
