I have a 17 L5P and am at the point where i am trying to find the perfect transmission and compound setup. Been waiting a while for compounds to come to market...Then this video emerges...love it! Only 730 hp on twins they are making 750 on the new stealth series single. Stock piping and stock look. Why go twins for same hp is there a advantage ?
Stealth will only make 700 stock fuel and that’s it. With 100s and 12mm it makes high 760s. Compounds with bigger valley and stock fuel make 730s and with matching fuel can make 1000+
@@JWMontoya the new stealth kit for L5p is reported to be 700hp+ capable. Of course with a pump and supporting modification. Why twins when the tech is advancing so quickly on this new platform. Maybe its just turned down and has alot more left in it?
That coolant leak is going to be the death of me. I swear that heater core tube is just a bit to small for the standard 5/8 quick connect. Next stop for me is to clamp the hose directly to the core. Or buy the oem egr hose and swap the fittings. Anyone else have this problem and solve it?
HP L5P. I just bought the oem hose and swapped the fitting like you said. It used to drip onto the up pipes over night when it cooled down and I could smell coolant when it was warming up in the morning. After swapping the fitting it doesn’t drip on the up pipe anymore and no more smell. But it’s still loosing coolant. I did the fitting 2 weeks ago and I’m still trying to find where it’s leaking now.
Why use the stiction eliminator in a common rail engine. That’s made for the 7.3s and 6.0s engines that have fuel systems that run off pressurized oil. He’s better off using Hotshot FR3

HP L5P I also noticed the drivers side tube going into the firewall. Rotates, not sure if it did that before but I don’t think it’s normal.
