Cool video! I’ve hunted the add land there on a permit, it’s definitely not an easy place to hunt. I’m 55 next month and hunted and fished south Florida all my life. I’m right there next to you on the negativity meter!😂… It’s really insane here now! It was time to move about 20 or 30 years ago. I still enjoy my public land hunting though. Thanks for sharing!👍
Thought I commented on this earlier, but don’t see it now. Just wanted to say Thanks for posting these videos from where you are there in the glades. I used to have a cabin there , where you are. Had to leave in the late 90’s early 2000’s when we were told to get out. Father built the cabin in the 50’s. It is truly paradise there. We hunted quail there. Placed dad’s ashes there about 6 years ago. Still have the gate combo myself. Don’t worry, I haven’t shared it with anyone. I miss it there. Gotta visit there again soon. Winter and Fall are the best times to be there. Greatest sunsets anywhere. Thanks for the videos! Kevin
@KevinKimberly thanks for commenting Kevin, it truly is heaven out there! That gate is literally one hour from my driveway, ill be out this weekend hunting again. The weekend can't come soon enough...lol Where do you live now?
@ Live in Wellington. About 2 hours from down there. You said you’ve been going down there for 40 years or so. Did you know where my cabin was? It was straight ahead as you went in the gate, and past the first cabin you went through, at the time. That was Quail’s Roost … Elmer. Then ours was after his. Then just north of us was RC Taylors camp. I know both he and Elmer lived in Miami. Just north of RC’s camp was the Tillis camp. Mel Tillis’s brother or cousin owned it. So many memories. Fishing off the bridge there at the gate as a kid. Would really like to meet up one day and exchange stories.
@KevinKimberly I do remember your camp and I definitely remember others when I was out there. I just didn't really remember the names of who owned them. My dad new Al Glass, the Kruse family and the Sargent family, all those camps are close to ours. I would love to get together one day, just let me know when you your coming down.
@ Wow!!! I will definitely be in touch then. This is so amazing! I have many questions. Good luck this coming weekend down there. Merry Christmas to you. Will contact you after the first of the year, if that’s ok.
