Good job Scott and Brandon. Keep up the good work. Glad the pack llamas are working out for you! They can make all the difference when packing meat and supplies, in and out.
Beautiful country, great hunt and excellent videography. Superb demonstration of how to build a solid rest instead of just blasting away from an awkward, unsupported position and hoping to make a clean kill. Thanks for sharing and God Bless!
Definitely a fantastic adventure that you guys had. Congratulations on the really nice buck with some scraped off velvet antlers. 🦌 I hope to be able to get out west soon and do the same. I also have a Swagger QD42 bipod that I really like. I have the adapter on a newer Savage M110 Long Range Hunter in 300 WSM that is ready to go. 🦌⛰🏕🇺🇸
@@scottreekers101 thank you and I sure hope that it will be. It likes bullets in the 180-200 grain range. I haven't stretched it out to 300 or 400 yards, but hopefully I can find a range to do so. An elk or mule deer 🦌 would be in trouble if I find one next year.
Nice buck congratulations. The guy you rented the Llamas from should look after them better Buy him a brush and those renting them give them a brush before you put the planners and blanket on to avoid saddle sores .you all brush a horse before saddling .Their worth looking after ,money in the bank and no one's has to pack to much .Stay sage
Hi Zelda, you don’t want to brush them, just make sure the bug stuff is out. All that is usually required is a good ruffling of the hair and you are good.
We don't get saddle sores. We take superb care of our pack llamas. You remove large debris from some of them by hand. We have no blankets, but rather cushioned attached pads to the saddles. Brushing llama wool on top is a bit different than horse hair on top.
Awesome hunt! Awesome buck! Awesome llamas! Thanks! Would have been real cool if you had got up close and personal, and stuck an arrow in him. Instead of high tech shooting,at 327 yards he didn't have a chance.

Well heck, why not throw a spear? With an obsidian point you chipped yourself?? We have enough elitists in congress, dont need any in hunting. Yes Im a bowhunter.

So was I right about the bullet deflection off the ground and then hitting the deer in the vitals?

@@TheWVgoodguy22 180-200 grain will be great for elk and mule deer.
Not 200" come on get real
why?! oh why?! do you play the music soooooo loud? especially in the beginning when you are whispering
145" click bait buck
Even the buck they shot is only a 3x3. Not even close to 200". 😅
