The sequel in my opinion works on a LOT of the issues present in LobCorp, LOR is definitely worth a look. Combat's much more interactive(if really complicated), you get to fight both old and new Abnormalities, the soundtrack is potentially EVEN MORE of a banger than LobCorp's was, and you get to see much more of the Project Moon universe.
The "new" abnos are Wonderlab Abnormalities, Abnormalities that only appear in a manga/book for LobCorp.

@@cauthrim4298 Pinocchio is an abnormality that's truly only original to Library of Ruina. Nihil, Ozma, and The Adult was planned to come to LobCorp until they were eventually scrapped. I might be viewing this differently than you but it is true that Pinocchio and Ozma are unique in their full form.
That amount of effort must not get unnoticed, hopefully commenting here might appease the algorhytm. Really good video.

This has been a interesting watch, I know little to nothing about this game but my attention is pretty hooked in.
Absolutely amazing editing.
i think the growth stats are intentionally left hidden to disincentivize grinding, there's a lot of abnos that can wreak havoc on low-level employees (or at least lacking in a few stats) to keep the player on edge and give them more things to worry about once they've mastered the other mechanics of the game. this leads to specialized workers and kill squads, with some fodder in between that might be able to rise up the ranks. i remember in my first playthrough where i had a nugget maxed out in prudence and justice but had literally no health wielding funeral's guns. still annoying as shit to minmax your facility though, i had a 4x speed mod on my 100% playthrough and i swear that still took 40 hours.
great narrative with your first playthrough, totally agree on the audio mixing, combat has its ups and downs. nice editing and great video, you earned yourself a sub!

Lobocorp was one of the greats of inspiration for me. You know, those books, games, comics, etc, that stick with you and inform all your creativity for the rest of your life. It is that special.

Great video for presenting the game to someone who hasn't played it before, looking forward to more similar content from your channel.
As for the sequel to this game, it was technically going to have it's full release tomorrow but because needing to "comply with the process for releasing the game on the console market" they are going to pospone it a few month for a simultaneous as far as I'm understanding.
The point is that the update itself that was going to come out tomorrow, will still come out and thus the game should be completed enough (story wise it is complete) that I would suggest you give it a full playthrough if you ever have the time

Your review is really good! A lot of the problems I have with the game you addressed also the many things I love them. However their second entry and sequel to this game Library of Ruina is more of my type of game and has away larger budget. The game is planned to release in May but I have been playing since Early Access and it’s probably one of my favorite games. Hopefully you check it out.
This video is great! lobcorp is one of my favorite and an underrated game, i also love how the combat in this game isn't that great/mediocre at best then project moon made a combat focus in their next game.
So basically get the total info mod, and a few other mods to triple stat gains to have a fun game.

Extremely well structed video and I pretty much agree with everything said here, if it werent the narrative being so dang good, I wouldnt really continue playing because of the agonizing gameplay at times. (I mean, tbh the gameplay did indeed stop me from beating the game despite the narrative being *chef kiss*)

How I have spent as long as I have and NOT seen this, is beyond me but EXCELLENT job. This is a solid way to explain the experience to me, honestly. I've been trying to explain to people for god knows how long that LC and it's sequel are phenomenal experiences, but have gameplay that just seems.... lacking, I guess. This video brought something up that I literally never accounted for in terms of the things that make the game flat out not enjoyable (which was the UI point you made). My main gripes were always the ridiculous time investment, the performance at late game and the horrific reliance on RNG at day 49. The UI is something I never thought much on and went "Oh yeah.... you right, lul" when you mentioned it. And as a lot of people are making a note of, the pain, suffering and time-consuming anguish is literally canon to the plot of the game so it's difficult to be mad at it.
As a dude who did a damn let's play for like a year or so and am STILL playing Library of Ruina a year and a half after starting, Project Moon make an excellent EXPERIENCE that is an insane emotional roller coaster. I just wish they would make a better GAME. After a bit over 100 hours in LC and 2 runs beginning to end, I have only ever made it to day 49. I had to stop 1 day before completing it to full. It still hurts me stopping there but I literally cannot be bothered to drive myself insane like that lol. As an experience, it's insanely memorable. Purely in a gameplay standpoint, I wish it did better.
Still a fantastic game.

I'm currently playing through it at the moment while producing other videos.
From what I've been told and from what I've experienced, it's a pretty dense game so it's going to be a while before I even get to drafting up a script.
Yeah, the game is VERY attention heavy. I haven't idea how you managed to play it and do a stream at the same time.
But it's some good shit, easily the best way to waste 200 hours
