The all-new Buccaneer Bermuda new for 2021! At the front of this new layout is a bright and spacious L-shaped lounge with dedicated entertainment centre and TV.
The "L" shape sofa configuration converts, quickly and easily, to a comfortable double bed at night.
At the rear is a bright and spacious double bedroom, with retractable transverse island bed. The Bermuda has a central split-style washroom configuration, which can be used as an en-suite or family bathroom.

Im sure you will love it, the self levelling system is one of the best bits of kit. The new model will no doubt be a real head turner 👍

Sandra Westley definitely do not like the L shaped lounge, we both like to lounge out and that makes it almost impossible, and we don’t watch T V we use I pads as signals are often no good and the TV goes all pixelated.

Thanks for the comprehensive review which I’ve just come across . It looks a great van perhaps more for seasonal pitching , rather than touring ?
Wondering when we might see heated mirror in bathroom it’s always a pain steaming up , lit is fine but no good if can’t see with steam. Any thoughts from the trade?
Not having a larger bedside shelf is also a question as is seeming lack of charging points at bedside ? Eg for phone / hearing aid charger , book n that cuppa 🤷♂️perhaps a pop up shelf design might be possible ?
In the kitchen I might have missed it but is there a work too cover for that massive sink ? And a draining board attachment ? With the big sink a wider kitchen tool drawer is ruled out which might be preferred?
In the bedroom while there are wardrobes each bed side they do look a bit narrow eg compared to Swift 645 / 8 footers or is that just camera view?
Can the rear of the caravan take a bike rack like the swift models ? It would be a bit of a decider for us really as much easier to use a rear rack than atop the car roof
Is there auto switching of gas tanks in front locker
Any camera kit to monitor rear and sides coming to market like you now see on many top end cars / motorhomes, caravans this size seem to be lagging behind a bit in tech driver assist area?

Thank you for watching and in answer, I cannot see a heated mirror coming anytime soon but I agree it would be a good feature. With regards a bike carrier, you would have to check with the new 2022 model whether it was an option of not on the back panel. Swift already have the preinstallation which makes it quite straightforward. I think a bluetooth camera on these higher spec caravans would be a great addition. Again, this isn’t something I have seen coming through as yet. A big sink is great but I prefer a good sized drawer to a big sink as I use the drawer more. Have a great week, Karina 😊

You can also control the self levelling on your phone through wifi although it’s a optional feature of the system 👍🏻 been waiting on a video on this one, couple of bits though, it does come with a radio, a 32” Fitted tv and Alde underfloor heating all standard spec and that pop up usb charger is also a wireless phone charger. we love this layout, can really see us changing ours to this one in the near future.

11:40 There's also a sink cover/board which adds more temporary work space if you are prepping. I guess it stores in one of the cupboards.

Don’t think it will really as you need a big 4x4 to tow this weight anyway and they can cope with this kerbweight. I’ve had Buccaneers for 12 years now towed by Volvo XC 90 and 3 LR Discovery’s all cope very well.
We always loved the Buccaneers but my goodness they are heavy on the road and heavy on cash. That said, probably the most luxurious offering out there 😄👍🏻 Trev n Sue

Explorer group did used to make 2 Berth buccaneers but dropped them a few years ago due to low demand. I spoke to them 3 years ago on a factory tour at Consett and they said they hadn’t any plans for foreseeable future. Think there missing a market there though.
I prefer Adria, more modern style, more warm more luxury for me.

Great review Karina, and what a great van! I really do like the Buccanneer range, but they seem to have narrowed their market to adults and caravans designed for couples., I have two younger children, and would love to buy a Buccaneer, but none of the layouts suit our requirements. They used to have the Galera in their range, but that has since ceased. I would have thought they would still keep at least one family layout in the range to cover all bases? For now I will stick with my Compass Casita 866 as the layout is much more suited for my family.

@@HereWeTow maybe so. I have seen the 868 but the buccaneer grey sides, darker tinted windows and self levelling are some of the key features I would be looking for. All of those are not available on other models.
Maybe with the recent boom in the caravan market they may look to explore the family option again....who knows.
I think the 868 layout in a Buccaneer would be very popular...maybe next year..I like the silver sides too! 😊

A pioneer Radio and a Avtex 32” tv mounted on the wall are standard spec but as they are easy to steal when on display unattended most dealers only fit them during pdi

Love the barracuda but I am disappointed that the tv wall is now near side instead of offside. We always pitch offside to hedge, near side is my viewing window!! 😁

@@HereWeTow Thank you Karina for your kind response: manufacturers rarely state such tiny details like their window supplier because it is not really a selling point. The window manufacturer is usually identified at the lower right acrylic window corner, if anyone of your viewers can identify the manufacturer, it would be greatly appreciated.
It is probably a company called Polyplastic, they supply Elddis I believe. Hopefully this will help if no one else offers an answer 😊

Another advantage with this model is the fridge vents are the opposite side to the awning, so it's not adding to a heat problem in the Summer months.

Hi I’ve been watching several reviews, Bailey, Eldiss and buccaneers….what’s the better quality in what you’ve seen ?
They are all very similar but having just been to the launch of the 2022 Coachman caravans and the new Buccaneers, the build looked good. Adria, for me, offer the best build quality but they are not a UK manufacturer. Many owners of various makes will report great build, others will tell you horror stories. I hope that helps a bit, Facebook owners groups are a good place to start too. Thanks, Karina 😊

If I was lucky enough to be rich enough to buy this, I would prefer to have a custom built version with my own design of layout. In fact I am surprised there is not a caravan making film that just does a bare empty interior space in the caravan that you pick your ideas of fittings and layout and they do them as part of the total costs you pay out. That way it be as you wish and need it to be like from a long list of pre-set features? Like a full length bath with shower I would like in the caravan myself and extra water tanks etc.

is the sink screwed into the worktop? if so I would prefer it to have been dropped in and secured with silicone .the screw head will clog with dirt .

It’s not screwed down, the black bits are rubber bungs for the cover that goes over the sink to boost worktop space 👍

Unit opposite kitchen is a perfect place for kettle and tea making and coffee machine but couldn't see a plug.

L shape lounge, looks good but so impractical unless you both sit bolt upright to watch tv, 2 people cant relax with their feet up and be in the right direction to see the tv and have somewhere to rest their head
Looks sturdy , like the self levelling but no way at that price as looks a bit bare and basic plus the things already mentioned.

do you ever suggest to the caravan company you ideas for storage , I find the idea of having to pull open a door to find the table a bit of a nuisance .
Sometimes manufacturers do take on board suggestions that are put to them, sometimes they don’t 😊

What about air condition please
You can have roof mounted air conditioning fitted as an option. This usually starts at around £1800 fitted. You need to consider the weight of it when you work out what you have in your payload after a motor mover and other things. Thanks for watching, Karina and Jules

Why mention the length in meters and then use feet for width?
Because most caravanners use the measurements this way. If you used metres for width it wouldn’t mean much to people but 8ft wide does. You can use feet for length but again most use metres, it is the same when booking pitches with many campsites. Thanks for watching 😊 Karina

I think the information about the nose weight could be misleading. This ‘van has MAX nose weight of 150kg, as does my current ‘van. This is simply the maximum weight the hitch is technically permissible to tow at. Although my hitch is rated similarly, I rarely get above 90kg, due to the way I load it and my car is rated up to 140kg.
The ‘van would not ship at this nose weight - it would only get to that weight through the way it is loaded. You must load the ‘van to give you a nose weight lower than the lowest rating of the ‘van or the tow car - in my case the car at 140kg.
The car to ‘van weight ratio is all about the kerb weight vs MTPLM, as I’m sure almost everybody on here is already aware.
All caravans have a different limit set my the manufacturers and the limit on this is as stated. Their is no ambiguity around that and most Buccaneers will run heavy on the nose I would imagine. There are very few UK caravans where the hitch is rated for over 100kg. As always, anyone towing should stay within the limits of their vehicles noseweight limit and the caravan manufacturers recommendation.

By the time you fit quad movers and A/C you’ll have 60kg of payload left. Useless!
When will manufacturers realise that tiny payloads leaves everyone towing overweight and illegal caravans. They’re just trying to make them tow behind a bigger range of lighter cars but you can’t have a decent payload without a heavy tow car which restricts the number of buyers. They are setting the buyer up to fail.
You can have the plated weight upgraded to 2 tonne shouldn’t be a problem then. I’ve never found it an issue I’ve got aircon and movers.
Good point about payloads and people do like to add plenty of accessories like the ones you mention. 👍

You can load the van up to the payload at a max of an up-plated 70kg. That means about 150lbs to get all your stuff, cutlery and crockery. Cooking equipment, clothes and toiletries etc etc etc. Can’t be done legally. It has to be towed by a Transit to carry all the kit needed to holiday. I holiday abroad so have to have A/C and store at home nose in so need movers. It needs another 500kg to make the storage space in the caravan of any use. Otherwise you’ll be unloading your transit into the caravan every time you stop. Like I said, useless.
Huw Williams I don’t find it a problem and and have the same equipment as you also been to south France for 2.5 weeks taking everything I need travel with the awning in back of my discovery keeps weight down in van and helps to keep within the payload. Each to their own I suppose with what you take.
Had 3 Buccaneers from a 2013 to 2016 would not have another poor build quality they put on the hydraulic legs and takeaway black front window automatic hecki roof taped joints on walls for me no swift elegance all the way no taped joints there ect
