Ben you're the man with the master plan 😎👍🏻!Hi to all Indians. I'm getting the 5-year tourist visa. I should be arriving in Delhi at the end of May 2023. I'll be in India 🇮🇳 for six months at a time. Maybe 🤔 we'll meet up along the way. I'll be heading up to the Himalayas around July or August to places like Manali, Tosh village, Dharamshal, Shimla, McLeod Ganj, Nainital, etc.... until around late September when I head down south to Madurai, Mumbai, Mysore, Kerala, Varksla, etc.... Jai Hind 🇮🇳🙏🏻😎👍🏻💪🏻!
This is really great content, in addition to the other stuff you do. We see so many videos about retiring in Bali/Thailand/Phillipines etc. maybe you could do one on retiring in India?
Epic bro! i appreciate this i was booking my flight to India and confused about the visa process and you uploaded this the same day haha you helped me out a ton with this video! so i will be exploring india for 6 months, you got any tips on wifi or how to get the Phone SIM card data plan of like 100+ GB monthly? i will be uploading a ton of youtube videos and i work online as a digital nomad so i need a ton of data. seriously this video was a game changer and saved a lot of my time! much appreciated!
Glad it was helpful! You can get airtel sim in airport, get airtelo esim as backup until you find Indian sim, look for jio sim shop as you go around for best one. I look for 3gb a day for 84 days. Airbnb has best WiFi places. Have fun!!!
Ben, just some additional information. The 180 days is only available to Americans and a handful of other nationalities. Most countries are only allowed to stay 90 days. Also I believe Brits need to apply at a consulate. No online visa is available if I recall. Also, under given name be sure to include your middle name if it is on your passport. I got nailed for not doing that. The argument I had was the form asked for given name and not names. Include what's on your passport. I got my visa back in 12 hours. One more trick. The payment section would not take my credit card but I was able to pay with Paypal.
The rules were different in the past but Brits can apply online and the 180 days is for more countries. Here’s most uptodate info I can findwww.mha.gov.in/PDF_Other/AnnexIII_01022018.pdf
14:34 Higher secondary is not college, its high school. You graduate from secondary school at 16, higher secondary at 18. There was an option for undergraduate.
Hey, in the Passport Details section you only have to provide the passport number again if you are carrying any other passport otherwise you need to select no and the option will be greyed out.
From news media came to know that waiting time for USA visa interview for Indian is 2 years . . I got visa for eu (for 6m), Australia , Uk (for 1 year) without any delay .
Oh Ben, Oh Ben, Oh Ben… my ticket to Delhi is booked for next month, my hotel in Rishikesh is booked also, in fact most things are sorted. I’m just filling out my visa application and I’m away.
Great tutorial and always super helpful. I never did worked out if its 180 days stay for the entire year only or its 180 days per visit. Hopefully the latter. Enjoyed your video of the Sri Lanka visa run as well . Heading to Nepal for my visa run next month. Cheers :)
I think it’s for the year so I’m confused when Ben said you could come back after like 1 day , if that’s the case then you would only need to be out the country for like 10 days of that 5 year visa , hmmm I’m also very confused
@@joeh9009 If you stay in India for 180 days or more you become resident like most of the countries. This changes your tax status in India and with the parent country from where you are ordinarily tax payer. India has got dual tax evasion treaties with most counties and this invites tax and declaration changes. So in a financial year you have to stay not longer than 180 days (considering you might spend 1-2 days on airport during transit). If you are going to make some business you can stay more than 183 days but prepare for tax applicabilities beforehand by visiting relevant websites and/or a consultant. Financial year in India is from 1st Apr to 31st Mar. The declarations usually are made 2 months in advance of year end. Actuals filing must be done by 31st of July (4 months) after the tax year end. Edit after Ben's reply: Above applies to Financial Visa's. Tourists visa stat tax free.
Hi you must visit Highest statue in the world " Statue of unity" bigger than American statue of Liberty and hidden gem of India " Lakshadweep island" 🙏♥️
Hi Benjamin, I love these videos. I too am an Indiophile......is that how you write it? Anyway I have just bought a 5 year e-visa. It says no land border crossings! My son lives in Lahore and it is my intention to cross at the Wagah border and then return into India via Wagah. I read on someone's blog that the second entry into India can be a land crosiing as long as the first one is an Indian airport. do you have any experience or knowledge of that?
Hello .. you are on the wrong page at 9:22 . That's for regular paper visa ...not E Visa ... Then you magically appear on the E Visa page ... Correct that
Hi ben im flying to Pune but have an overnight layover in Mumbai and im planning on staying in a hotel that night. Should I put Mumbai as port of arrival even though my final destination is Pune?
Ben. Is there a content creator / digital nomad visa. The tourist visa seems to preclude any type of work per the application form. It seems to say casual work like business meetings are ok, but is applicable for content creation. Is there any specific guidelines on creation issued by the Indian ministry of Home affairs. Seems like there are little published guidelines.
There is no mention of this it just says “sole purpose is sightseeing…” for tourist visa which I believe is covered since travel blogger sole purpose is sightseeing
@@bjenks Yes it's a grey area. Short visits should be ok, but technically earning money from any activities in India is against the terms of a tourist visa.
If you went to college, it could be Diploma or a bachelor's or Higher secondary depending on your circumstances. The higher secondary degree in India is obtained from high school and is same as senior secondary school (Kindergarten+12 years of formal education) elsewhere and one would later go to a college to do diploma or bachelors. But there are some colleges which offer year 11 and 12 for the higher secondary degree. In that case, the student joins college early for years 11 and 12 and obtain the higher secondary degree from college. Also, for the photograph, size is not the only criteria, the photo should not have shadows etc. My cousin's wife is European. Her application was rejected due to this. Actually, not rejected, but additional information was requested asking to send a proper photo.
Ben , Can you confirm the visa situation again because from your video I’m reading that after the first 180 days you must leave then you can come back after 1 day . Ultimately keep doing this until the 5 year visa expires. In essence you would only need to be out of India for roughly a period of 10 days or so over that 5 years . Is this the case or is the 180 days stay per 1 year of the visa?, Thanks
18:01, Ben you say it's a 180-day limit, then you exit and can come right back....My understanding was that you can ONLY stay in India 180 days per year. You seem to indicate that's not true. Can you clarify? Thanks, and I love your videos.

It’s because most foreigners who come to are returning back to their home country. Most Indians on the other hand never had the intention of returning back home. The moment we go as a tourist and returning back home we will less rejection. The US visa works like this “ more the people stays in more the rejection” and less the number of people stays in more the approval
