Braiding copper wire into a cuff bracelet.

  • Braiding a copper wire cuff bracelet is a quick and simple wire wrapping technique that is versatile and effective. The hardest part of this wirework is getting good tension on the wires as you wrap.
I solved this problem by making simple handles that attach to the ends of the wires, giving me the ability to pull a tighter braid.
This is a short edited version of a longer play video if you would like to see the original here's a link

How much is one like this u have made? For arthritis in knuckles.. I believe brass copper is great for it. But must be made so as to not leave green markings ??
      Is that correct?
      Thx for sharing this process..

Hi NiReeta in Australia, if I was going to sell copper cuff bracelets I suppose they will be between £10-£20. A lot of people say wearing copper helps with their arthritis. I would assume having it in direct contact with the skin something is absorbed into the body that helps with the condition.
I suppose having a green stain is all part of the process and if the copper was sealed to prevent this the absorption may not work so well … N

Hi Dimples, I was using two different torches in this video. The first was a Sievert Propane Torch useful and widely used because it’s economical as it connects to a large propane bottle also it has many interchangeable nozzles available from very small to very large. The second torch for melting the copper I was using a Smith’s Little Torch as it burns incredibly hot being run on a mix of propane and oxygen … N
