I think trading houses is a really cool feature! I have a lot of houses that I don’t use anymore and before the trading houses update I had no idea what to do with them! I'd have to see the furniture count in the house to guess how many bucks went into it.
Some guidelines I've been trading by today: If the house is empty, it is only worth a no pot leg, max. Some cheap houses are barely worth an ultra rare.
If they have 30 pet/vehicle stands, then that is 20,000+ bucks worth of stands.
If they have high end expensive statues/lights/furniture, you can tell how much money they spent.
If they have novel builds that took imagination and time and bucks, that is pretty obvious too.
If their house has 3000+ items of furniture, simple math says they probably sunk more than 200,000 bucks into the house (unless it is all junk, but who spends hours placing 3000+ pieces of junk?).
So a house can be as cheap as a rare (for an empty starter home). Or as expensive as a Mega Shadow Dragon... really depends on effort.
