I have to say I love and appreciate when you show a piece you've thrifted or created and demonstrate different ways in which it can be used, either indoors or out. I'm all about pieces that can be used in multiple ways! ❤️

I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters. The whole family gets together once a month for a dinner. The tradition started after our parents died in order to keep the family close. Big families are such a blessing.

I learned thrifting from my daughter, I used to look down on it like a lot of people do but now to me it’s just smart! We go together & love finding treasures! I also find that a lot of people down sizing get rid of perfectly good gardening pots & things so I’ve been finding a lot of good stuff on FB marketplace. 💗🌿

I'm in zone 8a. I dab peppermint oil on my clothes, my neck, ears, and exposed skin. Bugs hate the smell of peppermint!! Oh and I sprinkle it on the outdoor furniture if I am going to stay outside for a while.

You can plant flowers that draw dragon flies and birds that eat mosquitos. You can include a bat house on your property because they too eat large amounts of mosquitos.

I really hope QVC get more of your obliesks and lattice plant supports again, they are fabulous. Your videos have inspired me! Just put pea gravel in some pots for all the reasons you gave, and that motivated me to start some sort of rock garden for my little grandboys who always bring me the interesting rocks they find around our yard. I figured the grandgirls and I can paint a few for their contribution. Also just started trying to root one of our shrubs thanks to tutorial. Love the thrifting ideas, the shopping links, and so much more. Definitely could use some help with indoor plant care and the process steps of topiaries. Thank you!

I wish I had a way to post my copper planter, so you could see how beautiful it looks in my garden. I am currently using it to hold kindling for my Chiminea. People stop and say”where did you get that, it’s beautiful “. I tell them from Linda’s QVC collection. Years ago on a garden tour I had the privilege of visiting Linda’s garden. It’s just amazing, you have no idea. Anyway I picked up on the planter she picked up overseas. I thought that’s the coolest thing. Now I have one in my own yard. I couldn’t be happier. Next on the list with be the bear a proof basket. Have great weekend gardening friends.

Floral arrangements, I would love to learn from buying a grouping at the grocery store when you’re in a crunch, to when someone sends you flowers and they show up in a box, to picking stuff out of the garden. What should you keep on hand, I guess just where to start. My husband sends me flowers and he won’t buy ANY MORE VASES, so they come in a box, I never can get them quite right.

Oh my goodness, Linda, you are just too much fun. I've been watching you now for the past few weeks and don't even know how I found you. But you and I sound so, so similar! Love that table runner!! That sleepwear? . . . I had a pretty white with beautiful, small red flowers and red satin trim which I wore for years and years, until I finally had to let it go last year as it wore right out. Same collar and everything. Lightweight cotton and so well made, hence it lasted so long. Anyway, your "clutter" is so much like MY garden clutter, and the more segments I watch, the more I hear you speaking my own mind on how I feel about "more" (or rather, "less", lol). Sounds like we are very close to the same age as well. So glad to have discovered you. (Some days I just binge-watch, especially since we had that incredible heat dome over the Pacific Northwest last week! Looking forward to catching up on all your videos.

Having fun watching your older videos. I am on a hunt for a reasonably priced silver-plated wine bucket to display fresh flowers in my dining room. Enjoyed this video. Also, an idea I use: iron, low plant stands with a thrifted dinner plate on top to use as a side table when entertaining outdoors. Thank you.

You have a great mix on your channel. Love the fashion segments. Since I am in that industry. Your favorite local boutiques you shop at, that info would be interesting and a shout out to small business. Interior decorating ideas too. Love the walkabouts. Everything in your garden is so loved. My son has the same turf in his backyard. I can attest to the turf getting hot! My daughter-in-law hosing it down so little feet don’t get burned is ironic. I’ve got. A busy planting day today....have about 125 landscape plants being delivered, Hellebores, bergenia, nandina, ogon grass, clematis. We rent a one man auger which makes it so easy and fast. Step 2 of a yard renovation. Perfect day here in PNW for planting, drizzle!!! Plants will be happy. Me not so much.

Seasonal decor incorporating natural garden elements is something I love. I have a twig table runner similar to yours. I got it at Goodwill. Thanks for showing the studio. There is an architecture book (title escapes me) that talks about how multi-paned windows enhance a view more than a single expanse of glass. Your views from inside the studio illustrate that perfectly. I am also a fan of galvanized metal. Not in an American farmhouse way, but rather a French/Nordic/Scandi/Mediterranean way. Your flower/fire bowl stand has been purchased.

I love second hand stores! I think the three things to keep in mind when thrifting are to look outside your local area if they tend to be a miss, that some days are a flop and to not go in looking for something specific. I like to take a look around because sometimes you find things you love that you weren't even looking for lol. It can be a great way to get some inspriation or find pieces that pull an outfit, room or garden space together 😊

  • @Kim-ek7xy

I absolutely love that you are not embarrassed to say you shop second-hand. As the third daughter, I had mostly hand-me-downs. It never bothered me. My husband says the same thing, why do you shop at the GoodWill? Because I found a really nice jacket from LLBean for $10 verses $ 60. Btw, you blow Martha Stewart out of the water. I've always liked her style, but not her personality. She's very monotone, no expression, kind of snobby or introverted. You are very personable; you talk to us like you know us and I do appreciate that very much. One of ten, wow!

there are so many things we have in common... my favorite lipstick and lip liners are Wet and Wild.. my mother always use to tell me I didn't have to tell everyone I got my top or jacket at the thrift store... love layering in the garden... in fact, I can see the plant support as a plant stand with a terra cotta pot with a slightly larger lip sitting on top and sort of floating with a wonderful geranium spilling out of it..

I'm so in love with everything you do! (Seriously, you're in my top 5 list of people I'd love to just hang out with and talk to!). Anywho, I adore the idea of rooms, but how would you separate? Fencing? Large plants? And biggest question is about the "tree ceiling".... how do you keep the tree droppings out of the rest of the landscape??? I have so much struggle with acorns, and the whirly- bird seeds from the maple trees 😭

I love your videos, Linda! Thanks for being so open and generous about sharing your tips, tricks, and methods… you have a magical way of inspiring a total rookie gardener like me into believing they can have the garden of their dreams! I caught the topiary obsession from you and now have 10 little baby topiaries that I’m growing. I have boxwood, sunshine ligustrum, and rosemary topiaries that I purchased as small shrubs and then divided. I also bought a loropetalum shrub that I got on sale and split into 2 topiaries. I love the purple foliage… I don’t know how it will turn out, but your excitement is so contagious, I had to give it a try! I also have the cutest little lemon cypress that I bought as a topiary. I appreciate your enthusiasm and I look forward to each new video! I’m just east of Dallas in Rowlett which is zone 8a. 😊🪴

2nd: Love your studio!! thanks for the tour, the review of your QVC line (great seeing all one finish - the suite - together), and the new additions.
3rd: Your hour with Claus on IG live yesterday was so great - I am going to rewatch as I was furiously taking notes about all the gardeners that inspire the 2 of you
4th: I found you last Christmas-time when you did a tour of your own home before I knew you for your gardening, so any tips on how to live the "garden-inspired life" will be appreciated altho you have done that over the winter and it's been fabulous!

Love that you thrift! I’m always on the lookout for candle holders and spray paint and distress some. I was on a plate kick for awhile, especially botanical ones which I hang on the wall!

Garden tip: keep finger nail scrubbers by your sink, so cheap on Amazon a pack of four for around 5.00. Even when I’m just walking to the mailbox I find something to pick, my nails look like I’m a mechanic 👩‍🔧🤨.

Well I just loved this video, thank you for sharing so many fun facts with us. I would love to see more table scapes and decorating ideas for the home. I love your style, it's like mine, but you have a better eye, so I am ready to be inspired. Love this Linda! PS I also find the outfit info at the end fun!
Love the QVC line, husband ordered a few pieces for my birthday gift, can't wait to receive!

I’m from bangalore, india. We have great weather and have a big garden. I’m learning so much from you ,and have started making so many changes 20 years later to my stagnant boring garden. Would love to see more of your indoors where you take the outdoors in and decorate the place.

I use cutters yard spray you use with a hose. I use it once a month and it work great. I used to get eaten up by them but no more!! Citronella, society garlic, marigolds, lots of herbs also help😎 a happy gardener!

I'm a questioner too. Always learning. I'd love to see tablescapes of which I know not much. The thing that puts me in a spin are garden gates and fences, not boundary fencing . Something to devide the landscape into rooms., nothing fancy . That would be so helpful. Love your content its always different

Coincidentally I was watching Fashion Mumblr, who moved to the Cotswolds just over a year ago. A couple of weeks ago she and her husband were visiting the local reclamation yard and she picked up a basket so similar to the one you designed ! Such a worldly design ! 🇨🇦

You have inspired me so much! I now have gravel in my potted plants since I too deal with squirrels and chipmunks in St. Louis , MO. , I have purchased small boxwoods from the store and started topiaries, elevated my plants in creative ways, and prune my trees and bushes with much more courage. Thank you so much. Since the basket that I want from QVC is waitlisted, I have resorted to using another old basket instead. Do you have any idea if they will be getting more of the baskets in stock? Or do I need to let it go and just accept that I waited too long to order? Please continue to share with us all of your creative ways to garden, dress, and decorate! We all love all of it!

Linda I just went looking for the scented geraniums you often show us in your walkabouts and was told I was too late in the season. Gardeners (apparently), buy them mainly in May not for their blooms but for their ability to keep mosquitoes at bay. Although I think they are quite pretty. They emit different scents and oils that really work. Even a variety that smells like citronella. This piqued my interest since I love geraniums. Now starting to do my research. I plan to experiment with scented geraniums in pots on our deck and front terrace. Also I’m told that lavender planted near your sitting areas also keeps mosquitoes away. Love your product line btw! So well thought out!

Love your channel and I have learned so much. I would like to hear you speak to over wintering plants. Mainly blooming plants - do you cut them back ? feed ? and anything else that you might do once you bring them indoors. I live in northern Ky - not sure what growing zone that is.

Thank you for your content, energy, inspiration. As gardeners, we have very little in common. I live in Denver, CO, high, hot, dry, zone 5b. (I know your son lives here so you may have the opportunity to learn more about our particular assets and challenges in the future.). My style is much less structured, cottage, or as I say some days, chaotic; I have no interest in formal hedges or topiary - except in someone else’s garden. Yet I watch every one of your videos because you are informative, organized, thorough, and friendly. And your artistic sense inspires me tremendously. (And I’m looking for a place to hang a basket!)

Your channel has really grown so rapidly - congratulations!! I collect garden topiary forms and just ordered yours. I too come from large family - eldest girl! Unfortunately we don't have a great local thrift store but I do try to find gently used items at local antique stores! My problem is now storing my garden collection! (BTW - if you have any suggestions for cleaning your copper tray - the one you have inside - would love to know that. I used my as a garden tray and now would rather use as a tray for drinks - thanks so much)!!
