I changed the timing belt on my car (VW Polo 2001)

- The timing belt had to be replaced after the car had traveled 90,000 km. in this case I had to change the timing belt because the car has driven 110,000km.
Prepare the tools you need and lift the car to the correct height. start disassembling the cover on the right side. Remove the multi-belt and the timing belt cover. Then put a jack under the engine. then you can disassemble the engine mount.
Before disassembling the timing belt, position the camshaft at the correct point relative to the crankshaft. then you can disassemble the belt.
Disassemble the water pump, and enter with the new water pump. Remember to use threadlock glue. Also change the tension wheel. after mounting the timing belt, turn the crankshaft two rounds so that the camshaft stops exactly where the point you see in the video.
start the engine, put on the cover and fit the engine mount. Then the job is done ✅.

That engine has a nasty knock. Piston slap? Got the AUC engine in my Lupo and it sounds like a Diesel.

its a bolt on pully, the toothed gear is locked to the crank with centre nut
