Trying to hook up China or India is hell in this game, so many passengers from the humongous city pops.
Loved watching this whole video without NL realizing that upgrading airports only upgrades the buffer, while adding more airplanes to existing routes is what actually increases throughput, thus reducing the need to have a larger buffer to begin with, and on top of all that, acts as an equalizing function on the whole world since the delay between input and output is decreased.
Yup, towards the end he had passengers piling up in a bunch of airports headed for Barcelona.

I respect NL playing the "1 plane per airport" challenge run for his first playthrough! Reminded me of when he was doing the "never recall units" challenge in wildfrost
My favorite part of this was chat back seating that there were not enough direct flight options and NL used that to strawman all of European travelers about them being entitled.

To get to Japan we drove an hour and a half to Cincinnati then a hour and a half flight to Chicago then something like a 8 hour flight to Helsinki with a 8 hour layover then another 7/8 hour flight to Tokyo. It was something like a 28 hour trip with a 12 hour time change lol and we flew over basically everything.

Game has potential, but really needs more ways to see the macro-level data - longest trips, demand, profitability, etc. Kind of just feels like a digital board game right now. (Disclaimer: making this comment having only watched the first 25 minutes)

Yeah. Demand not being met has zero penalty except not making max money, and the timer, which also doesn't seem like an issue
I've played the game, if you don't unlock loads of countries as early as possible and get the extra time, you'll start to struggle because the price of buying a new country gets exponentially hire
Does the game have costs for staff wages, plane fuel and maintenance? Because it looks like you just pay one purchase price for a new plane/airport and then have constant profit.

Would the ideal layout be to decide a general small radius per hub, have all other airports within that radius exclusively travel to that hub airport and maybe form a ring with them, do that for another layer, and have all the double hub airports interconnect entirely?

The reason you don’t fly backwards if you jump on a plane is because the plane is moving you forward at the same rate it is moving. So you’re flying very fast but you’re just in the plane sitting down so it feels like you’re not really moving.

I'm in Michigan, it's a big state, so a 3 hour drive is easy. There's almost no public transportation, so you just gotta deal with it.

Have you ever stood up on a plane as its coming into land? Its the time spend taxi-ing on the runway too, the speed at which passengers decide to collect their luggage and remove oneself from the aeroplane is unbearable. I for one am a stretch my legs enjoyer, as soon as we hit the tarmac I wanna be off the plane and on my way to the beach
