Listening to these albums always brings me back to when I first started smoking weed. It was the winter of my junior year in high school and just after New Years. I would sneak out and smoke alone in the semi-country, semi-polluted town that I lived in. And In fear of being caught I parked my aging car between a naked mesquite bush and a pile of oilfield trash outside an alleyway that lead to my house. And every time I would venture into those frosty sequestered nights I would smuggle hot ramen in a thermos once owned by my dad. That thermos and a little candle I brought with me, were the only source of heat for me. And All though this music brings back memories of hunger, sadness, and loneliness, it still reminds me of home. And of the stern but wise family I was born under. I had a lot on my mind that winter.

"moment of clarity" and "crush on u" were the best things I had heard in a loooooong time
