The title could stand to be a bit less misleading. I actually knew about the mod beforehand but thought they recently made an official WW1 expansion because of the wording in the title.
@@Roadwarior2 Italy wasn't apart of the central powers. Italy, Germany and Italy were apart of the tripple alliance, an agreement that was defensive in nature. The treaty stated that Germany and Austria-Hubgary would assist Italy if they were attacked by France without Italian provocation. Italy would do the same if Germany was attacked by France, and if Austria-Hungary was attacked by Russia, Italy would stay neutral. Due to the offensive nature of the German and Austro-Hungarian war declarations, as well as disputed territory with Austria-Hungary, Italy stayed out of the war. Germany and Austria-Hungary then became the central powers, with Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire joining as well. Italy would join the allies after they were promised land.
they couldnt get empire right, i doubt they could do ww1 right, also ww1 wasnt fought like wars before, it was 2 massive fronts which stalemated for years, it just wouldnt work unless they threw historical accuracy out the window. and yes i understand that other tw games are not exactly historically accurate but they do have at least some semblance of realism

basically, wherever he moves with his armies, his army stays there. the clock he presses goes through 2 weeks. before he clicks on the watch and passes those 2 weeks, he's gotta make some decisions like building roads, new buildings, recruiting, using diplomacy, etc.

Also no nukes and it have to be on Hearts of Iron 4.
Also in this challenge you have to be the Roman Empire and you have to defeat The Mongalian Empire by yourself or defend all attack on your Empire until they all run out of manpower or something.

Hyrule Total War kind of died out when they decided to drop the Total War engine for some crappy RTS game. It was never all that stable to begin with. More stable than 1648 but still crashy.

hmmm....still no Bulgarian campaign! How'z about total war crew finally get their head out of their /exccuse me/ and start adding up Bulgaria as a faction. Instead they are constantly making ancient bulgarian factions giving them different names and not using the potential Bulgaria has / like for example in Barbarian invasion , MTWK and so on, it can be a powerful cavalary nation with horse archers , heavy cavalary as well as good infantry and scouts, but instead they are giving all these to the eastern roman empire, early Persia or the Huns.
France penetrating into southern Germany and the Italian alps? A France this aggressive in World War 1 would look horribly familiar to the British and conjure up memories of the War of the 1st Coalition.
Tbh the total war engine doesn’t work well with WW1. I’ve played this mod & it’s fun but the front would basically be a line of troops not just a couple armies walking around lolol
I always thought WWI would make for a poor strategy game... after all it is known as the war without (much) tactics. Trench warfare doesn’t sound too exciting to simulate.... nor does a static front.
Can you try some rome 2 dei as india on normal dif battle diff hard or try attila total war 1220 ad play as Kiev and hold off against everyone lmao or attila ancient empires. All 3 mods in those games I think will make your head twirl. Probably some funny content haha.
Fun fact in switzerland we have many memoires for swiss soldiers in ww1 and ww2 bc mamy died bc of the spanish flu etc at the border and in bunkers... And lets be honest we werent engaged bc everything would be swiss within a few days😏

Artillery on the front line isn't necessarely a bad idea, during the battle of Dien Bien Phû lieutenant Brunbrouck successfuly repelled numerous vietmîhn soldiers and caused over a a thousand casualties in their ranks by refusing to abandon his cannons and ordered his men to fire at 0 degree. He eventually died, shot multiple times, but bought crucial time for the reorganisation of the defense and the retreat of other units.
Artillery is OP in this mod, also, cavalry is very bad if the game is prepared, a unit of infantry that's ready to attack a charging cavalry will just melt the cavalry
