I totally get it! Our kids are 21yrs, 27 yrs, & 32yrs and we raised all of them with our own traditions and we haven’t really gotten a lot of gifts and things since our oldest was 5 yrs old. That’s the beauty of having children they give us the gift of starting things anew but on our terms. Well said mommy and daddy. She’s blessing your lives in unique ways that you didn’t think would happen but appreciate them nonetheless. The price of the gift isn’t what’s important but the thought behind the gift is what matters. That’s the lesson I got from my parents although my childhood was NOT the best I understood that the unconditional love that was given to me made up for some of the bad times. Tyanna seems to have very good motor skills. From pouring the milk, to walking with her coffee (even though she spilled a bit), to walking on the balance beam in her gymnastics class (other video). Awesome! ❤❤❤
Auntie is the best. I love her fun and little childlike spirit. She is a great aunt. I love Christmas but as my siblings grew up and had their own families, it's lost some of its magic for me. I'm the only one not married or have children (my only sibling not married passed away), so it's a very lonely time for me. First year I didn't decorate or put up a tree.

None of us have this parenting thing figured out, (I know I sure don’t and I have been a momma for 23 years) but as long as you are doing the best that you can do, that is all our babies need and want from us. I can understand that traumas can hinder someone from enjoying the holidays. Especially if death came around the time you are supposed to be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. And by me being a Christian, I love Christmas! Regardless of the consumerism and commercialization of Christmas, I keep in mind that I celebrate the coming of the savior. He’s the reason ❤️🙏🏾
