There is a difference in knowing what works for medicated quarantine, and practicing it consistently. I “know it all” but screwed up recently and forgot a step. Forgot carbon in addition to water change, between meds. Trying to remember everything 2 years after the last time is tough. Dierks has helped me multiple times, my Hero.
Thanks for the video. I can vouch that the way the fish were packed was better than anything else I've received, almost no water leaked during transit and the livestock arrived in great condition. I actually saw the fish I got from the FishHotel in the video! They arrived without issue and are doing great in my Reef.
I will definitely be making a purchase from fish hotel soon. It is important for people that are looking to buy QTed fish to understand that once you make that move you always get QT moving forward. Including inverts and corals. Because if you introduce anything from inverts or corals, you can't blame the last fish you put it. Or buy another fish from a non qt place by impulse and do the pop and drop method. I do have a question. The fish get drugged like crazy. Are there any thoughts on that reducing life span long term? Also, where does he get the Styrofoam for those boxes. I need some for the corals I ship.
I love what he’s doing and I would Definitely buy from him but his selection of fish is so limited. None of the fish he has available on his website called my attention
I don’t understand why he doses metro when eventually he’s doing formalin which takes care of all those diseases metro take care but I think much better
I think he doses metro first to get a jump on those diseases, since metro is gentler on the fish. But then switches over to formalin once the fish are eating to finish the job.
