I remember the Creator of Tekken talked about that style is this, which apparently almost no one was using the style.. I mean it hasn't been popular to say it that way
When I saw Reina for the first time, I already liked her. And what’s really cool is that she’s related to Heihachi Mishima, which means she’s this badass girl who does Mishima Style Karate🤜🏼⚡️ Great performances, by the way👍🏼
The 10 hit combos are particularly impressive not only for the physical stuns, but also to remember the entire choreography in such a short time, I practiced Karate and remembering the "Katas" required many sessions, great stuff
“I think I did it” is what I say when I also try to lab 10 hit combos. More often than not though, I mess up the timing. If doing these combos on a controller is hard, I can’t imagine how hard it’d be to do actually do them live, so awesome job!
what i love about these videos is that im sure some people had to do these IRL as a sorta tech demo in order for the animators to get a sense of the motion for each move ( before spicing it up of course) so its really fun to see it! Keep up the good work
I do motion capture and when I do fighting animation, and have lost so much flexibility...it is HARD work haha. But its great. I just found her and she inspires me to keep pushing.
PLEASE continue this awesome content!! It's organic, entertaining, I love seeing the effort you put in to the moves, blending gaming to realism, I love it!
... as a Reina main, I was pretty excited going into this and she did a fantastic job! ... but MAN was I hoping the whole time that she would do the (Down + 3+4 [On Counter Hit]) or the (Forward + 1+2 --> 3 [On Counter Hit]). ... those are some of the wildest moves I ever seen that I don't think ANY fighting character has ever used. And I don't think Sofia would have had much trouble pulling them off either!
I come from parkour/tricking, so seeing you go for making them practical strikes was cool. My brain naturally thinks to emulate the movements more like dance
Sometimes that works too lol, it depends on the movement. I always want there to be a strike as it is the point of the game, but sometimes the strike is the move itself and the game has forced a strike into it. If that makes sense😆
@@sofiastunts Totally! There's trickers with heavy martial arts backgrounds that make all their tricks have targets, but I'm from no background, so I just flip 🙃
Yeah it’s quite crazy how fast they move😄 When you watch it as closely as I do for these videos, you notice that they will skip movements all together as well, to make it look faster and like they hit “harder”
It's cool and fun watching those types of IRL content involving doing fighting moves of different characters and you make the 10 hit combo moves look easy to memorize. The first ever video i watched of you was your Sonya Blade moveset video on Instagram if my memory serves me correctly. Keep up the good work.
@3:02 High front kick with heel, spinning back kick with toe's pointing down ( traditional karate back kick ) and not the side back kick with supporting hands because this art is from Taido a one of the younger variant of Okinawan Karate.
Bravissima Sofia!
Yeah her stunts are awesome and great job again with Reina ! But the final boss challenge is Zafina. I mean, I don't even know how it's possible to execute some of her moves without being a kind of contortionist.
i didn't expect the dash after headbutt xD anyway it's always nice to see the tekken movesets reenacted in real life! Just watching you already made me exhausted to even think doing those movements
Super sick. Seeing these happen in real life really highlights how brutal Reina's fighting style is lol. Imagine getting flipped onto your back and then STOMPED in the NECK !!!
Tekken got the move of Reina from Nakano-sensei who’s Taido master. If you’re interested, check Kuro-Obi World channel. Fun fact, Lidia (another Tekken chara) move came from Naka-sensei who’s also in in the Kuro-Obi World.
Can't wait for Lidia Sobieska from Tekken 7 to come out in Tekken 8, she does a style of karate that has a lot of similar moves. Leo Kliesen is another Tekken character I'd recommend, they use Bajiquan which is an incredibly cool style of kung fu with lots of elbows, body checks and step-in moves.
You did absolutely great Thats said my only complain is the ebi-geri (At 2:57) Is not a side kick its heel up toes down. And its taidos trademark kick what is reinas fighting style
The way Reina moves is how a character from PlayStation 1 era would move. Her moves are not anatomically correct. So it's incredible you managed to get close enough!
It's hard to tell with the speed and effects, but most of Reina's hand strikes are knife hands, not punches. She's striking with her finger tips. Some of her strikes leave a trail of several thin lines, indicating that she's using her fingernails to break skin.
Funny fact, the inputs that are more than 2 or 4 aren't combos. People who play Tekken call them strings because they link into one another. A combo is like getting a burger and fries together. Your basically attaching a string that connects to another string to form a combo.
This is sick! If it hasn't been said already, those funky jumping uppercuts aren't actually physically possible--they're legacy moves from old Tekken games they made where they DIDN'T use motion capture and like... if you actually matched the game your bones would break!
Just discovered your channel so fun! You should do shenlong of bloody roar series, its a very old game and of course you can't transform into a tiger lol
Reina's moves are so interesting.. I can't seem to pinpoint what martial arts style she is doing 😆
I remember the Creator of Tekken talked about that style is this, which apparently almost no one was using the style.. I mean it hasn't been popular to say it that way
And I don't remember how is it called
@@GeorgedeJesus-ch5hc Very cool. I'll have to try to find this video
It’s called Taido, her mocap model is on TH-cam and shows it. It’s a mix between Taido and Mishima style karate
@@parrisxsummers now I heard the Taido name. Thanks
10 hit combo at once without an edit is insane.
and so accurate!
Sometimes I forget how much Tekken characters actually defy the law of physics, but you're doing a pretty good job!
Tell that to Kazuya and his rotating back lol 😂
There's a literal bear on the roster, how do you forget?? 😂
When I saw Reina for the first time, I already liked her. And what’s really cool is that she’s related to Heihachi Mishima, which means she’s this badass girl who does Mishima Style Karate🤜🏼⚡️

Thank you🥰
You're fetish ?
You nailed it, Mishima fighting style lives on 🥋⚡️

4:10 loool she hit the heat dash too very accurate 😂😂

It's so cool how she goes back into position after every string😄
So cool you did Reina and her style is based on "Taido" like almost gymnastic karate. I'm very impressed ❤

AWESOME!
Can't wait to see the movement content for Lee, Lydia and Hworang!
Keep up the good, you're brilliant!
3:34 the fact that you had to speed it up THAT much is insane, i never realized how fast the characters move. Great video!
Yeah it’s quite crazy how fast they move😄 When you watch it as closely as I do for these videos, you notice that they will skip movements all together as well, to make it look faster and like they hit “harder”
yeah heat moves are ridiculous
Tekken character have running momentum from standing
So excited to see you do lidia moves, her karate is wonderful ❤
You did insanely well! I play her and seeing her moves IRL is so satisfying
She should do king moves
Yaaaassss Sofia! You’ve done it again! Stellar job! Totally loving this series!
Thank you! I’m so happy you enjoy

Have you thought about doing any Zafina moves? She is a wild queen. Also, awesome video as always
Yeah her stunts are awesome and great job again with Reina ! But the final boss challenge is Zafina. I mean, I don't even know how it's possible to execute some of her moves without being a kind of contortionist.
I will definitely look into it🙌🏽 It’s always fun with a challenge

@@sofiastunts Totally should!
Ever since the game came out I wanted to see people try to do her moves. This is awesome!
I felt like you were a character straight out of Mortal Kombat.
Thank you for amazing content ❤
i didn't expect the dash after headbutt xD anyway it's always nice to see the tekken movesets reenacted in real life! Just watching you already made me exhausted to even think doing those movements
It's cool to see each move/combo at different speeds, especially the slowed down footage!
I think it’s important to show the actual speed🙌🏽 Since video games tend to give the idea that we as humans can move way faster than we actually can😆
what an amazing effort you put in to this video!!! thank you so much and you are so so so strong and beautiful:)))
Reina’s my T8 main and the best character. As a former martial arts student… thanks for sharing!
Wow thats impressive! Really nice to watch!!!!!
Wow :) that's very nice work. Stunt professionals like you are really awesome.
Sofia, you never cease to amaze me! Keep up the good work and looking forward to your next video as I'm a huge fan of Sindel!

Your Mortal Kombat stunt work brought me here, keep it up Sofia! :)

You did that really well. I enjoyed that a lot.
I love the 10 hit combo! That was really spot on!
Reina's jacket is available for purchase actually and her fighting style is Mishima and Taido Karate.

The guy playing the dummy was so invested in his "role" that he even did the rasing his legs and arms when hit 😋😋🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣👍👍 Fuckin hilarious
He is a stunt colleague of mine, we stunt people are used to react very big😁

Making all that moves Looks so fun You got Flexibility plus Combat that is very hard to execute congrats 👏
You nailed it

Nailed it

Such a wholesome goofball
Excellent performance. I'm sorry for my poor English, but it was impressive.
Reina is new character.... I think. She is definitely new to this franchise 😊 and loving your videos

Kind of... she's a Mishima after all ^^
