Wow thanks for the great memories. I grew up in Fairfield in the 80's and 90's. I loved Fairfield high school even though i was expelled lol. I used to hang out at Fairfield on Thursday nights. Went to Savoy snooker room, Timezone, Ricky's, Play land, . I remember jungle room and Hotlipz and hanging out at the station. The days of Black eagle and Homeboys and the Assyrian nation

I remember that fish n chip shop red hut thingy in fairfield. Look how sprawling it was. now it's an empty hole. Even Neeta City struggles to get business they close normal time on a bloody thursday, which is shopping day.

I have to agree with you I've lived in smart st since 1971 I'm still here, Fairfield was much better in the old days, as a kid I used to clean MRS, STONES yard she trusted me and showed me inside her little cottage where she was born the little bed was still there I was the only one of the kids to be shown that oh she was so sweet after a few years I got married and when she saw me and my wife Mrs,Stone would pull me to one side and say to me, now you be careful because she wants your money, once mun was very sick in bed Mrs, Stone brought her meal on wheels dinner to me for my mum, wow I could tell you guys so much about Fairfield, oh yeah Mrs,Stones little cottage can be seen at Fairfield Museum, the oldest resident of Fairfield

At one point in this you drive down the Horsley drive and turn into Cockburn Crescent - the street I grew up in, but the video cuts out there and resumes as you're turning out of it. Do you have any footage from that street? Thanks so much for posting this. It brings back so many memories

it was even better in the 70s up to the mid 80s and then it got full of immigrants that destroyed the place and turned it into a third world slum. I grew up there in the 60s and 70s, it was a great place then.

Savoys was one place that made Fairfield, next to carpet store..
The expansion and take over by some lucky intervention of distribution killed the legacy it once had..
And the Kings.. ..those were the days, aye Kip..😂🤣
The good old days of no snitching.. ..now, even suits burn their neigbourly stores just for clout..
