Hi I am looking into a used shuttle bus to convert to a RV with minimal (no wiring & no pluming with portable porrty) modification. Watching your video for sure convinced me. Thanks.
Great job for a temporary solution. Also not to contradict your dad but on new PVC pieces primer is not needed.its where you connect to old PVC that the primer helps rubbing alcohol will work in a pinch.hopeing it gets you back to where you can make a better solution.
From home renovations as a comparison, it can definitely be frustrating how long seemingly “simple” jobs take. Especially when learning as we go, which is common. (Don’t beat yourself up too much on the tank placement, etc. You can only do your best possible with the knowledge you have at any given time.) I hope your new PVC system holds up very well until you’re able to make the preferred changes. What other way(s) would there even be to secure the pvc to the frame? Just curious. That PVC pipe cutter was pretty impressive though. I’ll keep that in mind if I ever have to deal with it here. Good luck. Stay safe. 🙏 Godspeed etc. ✌️Your spirit of adventure continues to impress. 👍
Appreciate it! Holding strong so far! There are other sorts of brackets and things that are made for supporting PVC specifically, but the limited access behind the tire makes them very hard to use. Realistically, if I could just get a piece of something flexible in this spot most of this headache would theoretically go away! But moving the tank is far better in the long term so that’s still probably what we’ll do. Thanks for being here & watching these - always glad to hear someone is enjoying them!
@@GoThereFree you’re welcome. 😁 Got it. Right, the access is the big issue. Glad to hear it’s holding up. Hopefully that will be enough until the tank relocation. Do you have access to a lift for that kind of stuff or do you jack it up?
Neither! The bus is extremely heavy so we’d need a really heavy duty lift for that. Fortunately there’s enough clearance under most of the vehicle that I can just climb underneath and do most jobs just laying on the ground.
@@GoThereFree oh my gosh. You have become very brave. That’s awesome. In a weird way I guess it’s actually safer because nothing is propped up to worry about falling. But that’s still a tight space to work. Here’s more food for thought. Given that I imagine you are still gigging while on the road why not roll that aspect into your videos? You already show the maintenance of the vehicle. Why not also show the maintenance of your artistic selves as well? Gig load ins, bits of rehearsals, writing a song, etc? Maybe I’ll try this for a video on my channel sometime too, though I’ve been so busy lately. People enjoy the backstage peek, I think. Perhaps even the mundane aspects. I mean how many times have unloaded gear in my life with over 1000 gigs???
@@GoThereFree PS if you do think you’ll be back in WNY sometime for upgrades to your ride let me know if you want to consider a vocals session. I’m pulled between a few projects but I’ve got multiple songs in progress on the computer of course.
Just found you and we are enjoying the honest look at bus life. We begin March 1st. Thanks for leading the way.

That’s good to know! Holding strong so far, fingers crossed it’ll last a couple more weeks. 🤞🏻
