Your videos and style are superb man, and unique to all the spotting channels I watch. I love hearing the zoom and focus on your camera just like the noisy flaps on the 767! Keep em coming!
+Lucas Yash Thank you so much Lucas! if you want more videos like this one,you could go on my channel and watch my playlist "Montreal plane spotting" . If you are interested, here is a 50 minutes plane spotting video at Toronto with the same informations (Airline,Reg,aircraft and Destination/origin) ;) th-cam.com/video/rh5ukCNOvoc/w-d-xo.html
I just found this park and it's so awesome :D but when I went there were only small planes. Do you know what is a good time or day to see the big ones?
The heavy planes are not using this runway right now because there's some maintenance on it... The best time of the day is in the late afternoon to sunset :)
Ahh true I saw somewhere that there was maintenance being done I just didn't know when they would be finished. :( I'll definitely go before sunset then. Thanks :)
No worries! :) If you want to see the heavy takeoffs you should go on the chemin St-Francois as they're using 06L/24R for the big ones : www.google.ca/maps/@45.4758116,-73.7502631,785m/data=!3m1!1e3
THAT. WAS. DAM AWESOME. MY EPIC FRIEND. I POVE IT! Seriously I am so glad we met up again and saw each other but dam this was FREAKN AMAZINGLY AWESKME! Truly well done
For the heavy arrivals in the afternoon, RWY 24R/06L is the one they use (usually) and here is the best place to see their arrivals on 24R www.google.ca/maps/place/spotting+cyul/@45.4855443,-73.7347723,1109m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x6da23f42e7c71f88!8m2!3d45.4877867!4d-73.7345561?hl=fr and here is the location (you need to go on the hill) to see the arrivals on 06L www.google.ca/maps/place/Centre+sportif+Westwood/@45.4581455,-73.7660519,1079m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x304a3c42883c65d7!8m2!3d45.4562051!4d-73.7647444?hl=fr
+Dylan Cox Hi Dylan! The best place to see takeoffs from my opinion is at the spotter Park on Jenkins Avenue. You can see the planes rotation right in front of you when 24L is used and it is also very good for 06R departures.Thats where I filmed my shots in this video from the beginning until 3:30. www.google.ca/maps/place/Parc+Jacques-de-Lesseps,+Avenue+Jenkins,+Dorval,+QC+H9P+2W6/@45.4617692,-73.7338494,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cc917d4b4e01bf3:0xe67623158832eb53!8m2!3d45.4616648!4d-73.7315505 About the landings,I was standing on a sand hill next to the Chemin St-Francois from 3:32 to the end of the video.Thats probably the best place to see 24R landings. www.google.ca/maps/place/spotting+cyul/@45.4877892,-73.7358144,321m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cc93d5b4a255b11:0x6da23f42e7c71f88!8m2!3d45.487787!4d-73.734555 When 06L is used for landings, the best location to see the arrivals is on a huge hill next to the Westwood Arena Parking. www.google.ca/maps/place/Centre+sportif+Westwood/@45.4561512,-73.765352,173m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cc93d9795aa456f:0x304a3c42883c65d7!8m2!3d45.45615!4d-73.7646743 Hope I helped you :) have a good night!
I was wondering if anyone knows: I live in Montreal and sometimes it seems that planes are on final approach from the south and sometimes they are taking off from the north? Do they switch off for a reason? I like when they take off from the north because we don't have to watch the slow taxi to the end of the runway before turning around...
+Yaakov Salomon I think you're talking about 06R departures (taking off to the NE).On this video,Takeoffs are from 24L (SW) and landings are on 24R (SW as well). The runways in use are depending of the wind direction as they land and left with headwinds.Btw,sorry about my english...I hope you understand at least :)
+YQBspotting are their certain days/times that are better than others? (which days do the planes takeoff/land on this runway? I plan on visiting the park very soon and I'd like to know the best time/day to visit, thank you!
usually,24R/06L is use for 90% of the landings and 24L/06R is use for takeoffs + small planes landings! I recommend you to go at YUL around 12:30 cause the firsts Trans-Atlantic flights arrives in the early afternoon :)
The angle you shot the video was it taken from inside one of the companies or you standing on a pick-up truck, I ask cuz I know the area, and your shot are looking over the fence, If I go there with car,, I'll not reach over the fence, whereas your shots are over the fence
WE MET!!! Not really but we were at the same place the same time!! You were probably standing on the hill next to runway 24R and I was the guy in the blue jacket near the localizer antenna :D Awesome video!!

Does Montreal ever get 747s or A-380?
No A380 for now and 747's only Royal Air Maroc during the summer. Sometimes KLM and Corsair as well but thats pretty rare.
Belle video ! super le trafic à YUL!!
theDoubleH63 Merci et ouais c'est incroyable.... différent de Québec ;) ahah
Very nice great video god work

a330 from toronto?
lilian potago yes there is many AC A333 who operate flights between Montreal and Toronto :)
Wow! nice you added atc
The Spotters Thank you man! :)

Thanks for the info. You do a fantastic job with stability without a tripod!
Thank you so much :)
How friendly are the authorities around YUL? Are they open to plane spotters?
Very friendly spotter airport in general :) there is still a few private locations to avoid but usually spotters really enjoy YUL!
