    Congratulations Mary!! When Tom drops something or it gets set down, you better believe it, it "evaporates" for sure!🤣😂. Tom and I are always late to the table, sorry. Tom loves his Hoka shoes, he picked out a bright multi colored pair, but then he's a banjo player primarily and some times mandolin. Sometimes a fiddle🤪.

    for rattle can lacquer I've had outstanding sucess with The Guitar Re-Ranch out of Texas. Great colors and formula, he also provides spare nozzles and they're adjustable. Stewmac also sells a very good product. I've done whole guitars with both and been very happy with the results.

    Hi Jerry;
    There used to be a guy called Rube Goldberg who made his living drawing comics of his bad luck. You need to find a way to make money off of the Rosa luck. It's also intresting to note that canopy glue got it's name for being used to glue the canopies onto model airplains.
    On a different subject, twisted wood has a simple answer. Wood is fibers imbeded in organic plastic resin. Almost all if not all plastic has memory. Once a memory is developed, it wiii usually return if straightened. The best way is to cut the part so it is straight without twisting it back straight. Sometimes glueing another piece to it and clamping it straight will work, but the piece is always under stress with this method.

    Hi Jerry;
    You must be getting to some people. "Olaf the violin maker" from Australia has put out a whole video on hide glue vs modern wood glues. Of course he is advocating the hide glue. Some people will never think out of the box. Or should I say will never excape the box. There like a puppy that goes straight from the box to a kennel cage. Oh well I guess the lord loves us all, even box pups. Keep on truckin!

      I watch Olaf too and I'm with Jerry.
      When he mentioned a violin that 50 cracks sealed with wood glue and cleaned it out and replaced with hide glue I was yelling "why do you want cracks opening up again? I don't want cracks opening up again but I don't want too much glue because I think it will hurt the sound. (Too much glue of any kind will affect the sound.)
      People travel a lot more now and take their instruments through many different temperature and humidity conditions and I want my instruments to stay together through all of that. I don't want to be constantly taking my instrument to the luthier to fix hide glue that failed. 😃😃

    The filler is for filling the grain not pours it stops only about 40% of bubbles from forming which is what Lacquer retarder is for
