My Dad loves this song.. on every devotional we had,we always used to sing this to praise God. Now,its feel empty that we had to sing this without him.. its been a week since he passed..he died of heart disease and diabetes.. I played this song for my Mom who is in hospice and dying of brain cancer. She loves your music and can get a smile out of her. Thank you for blessing her and me in this tough season of life. She has the assurance of being with her Saviour soon.
God bless you Karen. I am the Mom who was with her daughter as she died of breast cancer that went to her brain. I want to tell you something that is very sacred to me. On Amy's last day on earth, after she had not been able to speak for a day or two, she began beating time with her arms like someone leading a choir. I asked her if she was hearing angels sing and she nodded , "Yes." She had the most beautiful smile on her face - free of pain - and full of peace and joy. It was a wonderful gift from God to witness this wonderful transformation happening to my daughter during that very tough time. She had a son who was 11 mo old to the day. But I know she is with the Lord and that comfort can't be compared to anything else on this earth. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom and your family. I can't wait to see her again and it seems as if that Great Day is coming soon!

Love these. These make me miss my poppa. He used to sing this to me. Even when he got dementia he could remember the hymns. Forgot everyone's name (remembered his pet name for me....I'm the only granddaughter) but remembered hymns

This really takes me back, to a modest church building in eastern Kentucky in the late 1960s, where as a small boy I would sit on a pew, following along with these words in the songbook, enthralled by the waving arm, expressive face and rich tenor of the song leader with the unlikely first name of 'Tunis'. My favorite lyric was the 'sweeping up to Glory' part, as it gave me the mental picture of being on some kind of heavenly roller coaster. Plus Tunis, who had perhaps missed his calling in musical theater, would sing that line, leaning forward with an infectious energy and expressiveness that caused the congregation's volume level to increase by a few decibels! Fond memories!
Tunis hitched a ride on that roller coaster just a few years later. But his leading of the singing left an indelible impression on me, and made my life the richer for his contribution to it! Thank you, Brother Tunis!

A good diet and exercise and getting into the fresh air and sunlight is helpful as well. That helped me immensely when I was going through depression and ultimately out of it.
