Love finding these kind of spots. Stays like this for a little while, then you gotta wait til next year for the same experience. But at least you know when and where now!
Could you make some fly fishing videos? I live in west Ashley and need more places and examples of what to look for down here. I’ve been kayak fishing but just got into the whole saltwater fly and I need some motivation content hahah would love to see you wreck these fish on the fly. Thanks
gotta watch out for those big hogleg mullet, they'll spook and bust your spot real quick. Always a good sign to see big mullet tho...find the mullet, most the time you'll also find the reds
Was that first red over slot or could you eat it. I don’t know if they’re good to eat! Never caught one. Massachusetts is limited to what there is to catch.
Thanks for watching! In SC our redfish slot size is pretty small, only 15-23" and you can keep 2 a day. I don't keep redfish very often, but they are pretty tasty! Not as good striper, but they eat pretty well.
Live bait works great, redfish are garbage disposals that will eat almost anything under the right conditions. Some of my favorite options are live or cut mullet, mud minnows, crabs, live shrimp, etc. Practically anything though they love cut bait especially
At high tide they'll be in and around the grass so look there. They follow the bait so as the water comes up they go to areas they couldn't reach when the water was lower.
Great vid my dude. And the shout out from capt collier, dude catches more fish then most on yt, love his content also. Awesome creek find man, definitely need to try the flyrod out there. Makes me laugh to watch you paddle again hahaha
DUDEEE. That was awesome. Glad to see you throwing the slick too
I appreciate it captain! Thanks so much for watching man

Nice vid!
Thanks dude!
Is that in Massachusetts?
No it's in South Carolina
What bait other than artificial should I use for reds, trout, and flounder?
Live bait works great, redfish are garbage disposals that will eat almost anything under the right conditions. Some of my favorite options are live or cut mullet, mud minnows, crabs, live shrimp, etc. Practically anything though they love cut bait especially
What area is this?!
What gloves do you use?
These are Palmyth gloves, you can find them on Amazon. I get anywhere from 6 months - a year out of them before I shred them sheepshead fishing haha
Huge fly or you have a great mic 🎤 🪰
Whats your tactics at high tide for redfish?
At high tide they'll be in and around the grass so look there. They follow the bait so as the water comes up they go to areas they couldn't reach when the water was lower.
@@MakeTimeForFishing do you have any vids as examples you could link me to?
Not in my videos unfortunately, but Fish and Surf Charleston has a bunch of flood tide videos. You should check him out if you haven't!
