I love how this story event use the peterpan story not just the event story but the cards as well. It really shows that emu is a peter pan who wants to invite to neverland where what she thinks is the most happiest and fun, and thought that everyone would want to stay in the neverland forever. But in here she try to let go all of them with and sincere feelings 🥺
That cliffhanger…We haven’t seen Sakurako in a long while, so I’ll be very interested to see if she’ll come back! One thing that I had discovered yesterday while thinking was that though they all must depart, that doesn’t mean that can’t be a “happy end”, even for people like Emu and Rui. These four grew such a strong connection, have great collaboration skills with one another, and I think it’s safe to say that they do truly care about one another. Unless there’s a major twist in the story, when the four say their goodbyes, it seems more like a grateful farewell rather than running away from someone or cutting off a connection due to something negative. I’ll do my best to not make this too complicated; when they all depart, they’ll be left with the cherished memories that they’re grown over the years, rather than some sudden event that will break them apart negatively, like in the main story, for example. Though it is undoubtedly sad that they will separate, I’m sure that the memories that they will hold onto will show how worth their while it was. Thank you and the other translator for translating this event in cooperation with one another, and I’ll be glad to see what’s in the future! For children’s books, I don’t really like to think back to my childhood that often, but if I were to choose one story, I think it would be The Little Mermaid’s original ending, something like that.
