The simple point is that no one should ever be upset with you for not doing something that makes you uncomfortable. It is unfortunate that you had to create a video defending your personal feelings instead of some viewers having enough respect to accept your own comfort.

it’s actually mad how many stays have actually turned out to be full on zionists etc. when this collab came out… it’s so nice to hear from a creator that they are educated on the matter and act according to their own morals..
some people just have a hard time understanding that the boycotting etc. is coming from a place of love, not hate towards the kids.

Thank you for speaking up about this. I am also doing my version of boycotting of certain music and other things due to my own morals and beliefs, even though I have been ARMY for more than half a decade. It is so disheartening seeing how quickly people tell you to unstan and bully you for it. For what? For sticking to my morals? For wanting things I love such as BTS to NOT be associated with these ugly and useless people in positions of power? Absolutely not! I know better (and in my heart, I know groups like BTS know better as well). And, even if there were not these complex issues attached, no one is obligated to listen or watch anything they are uncomfortable with. You can dislike certain songs, music, and collabs. Even as a fan! It is ridiculous that people even got mad at that and are trying to use the horribile ongoing situations to essentially fuel "fanwars".

I'm sorry you have to explain even the most obvious situations. I understand very well what you mean. For example, I live in Turkey. There was a huge earthquake here. And some of my favorite idols donated money. And one of the people who donated money, advertised an Israeli brand product and people started lynching him. But in fact, that person did not do this because he was a bad person. They are under the yoke of companies in most decisions. We can understand this from their inability to defend themselves even under great provocations, and from the fact that they had to remain silent while being repeatedly harassed by saesangs.

I respect your opinion and am sorry you're getting hate from both sides. I too dislike Puth and honestly wish he wasn't associated with the song. I don't think SKZ were aware of his problematic history, nor do they have the contractual freedom to speak up and refuse to collaborate with who the company tells them to work with
FELIX spoke on Gaza and jype took the video down :( My fear is that what this attempted boycott is going to tell them is that if they change from the 'SKZ Formula' and do a new style, that we, as fans won't support their growth in to a more mainstream market.

What concerns me is people putting music over morals. I love SKZ so much and i heard the teasers for the song and as much as I’d want to listen to even SKZ’s only version, Charlie Puth and an Isreali producer acc produced it so either way it would be supporting them in a way. People attacking you is crazy and I see people in these comments talking about the double standards but guys, do you not understand a contract?? These idols can’t even dye their hair without company permission and you mean to tell me that they will be able to speak out?? And before I get hate, I have also limited my listening to Hybe groups and refused to listen to the JYP-Coca Cola collab.

Fairly new subscriber and first time commenter on your channel. Super impressed by your mature handling of this situation. You don’t have to apologize for following your own values on your own channel but I think making this video explaining your reasons goes a long way towards building your community.
People are still going to disagree with you (I’m not one of them) but you’ve taken away some of the ammunition they can throw by just being honest and sticking to your principles. That’s not always the case these days where people often back peddle on their stance in the face of negative feedback. It’s easy to compromise yourself in life. It’s harder to be true to yourself. But in the end you have to live with yourself in the big choices and the small, seemingly insignificant choices you make. If you compromise yourself on the small stuff enough times, it becomes easier to compromise yourself on the bigger choices. Your transparency is positive.
Also, your reactions are fucking entertaining. I’m particularly here for your NCT reactions but I love most of the groups you’ve reacted to. Glad I found your channel. Keep going!

I've been the same too since the beginning with not caring who does what with the song. I liked the little clips we got and watched the intro and was feally excited to see what the Kids came up with. And being from the US and this being their debut here, able to listen to it on the radio (hopefully soon), talk shows, more involvement here etc. It's something i wanted to go over well. I see both sides and people are able to choose what they want to do. But bullying other STAY's and the Kids is unacceptable. To clearify again, i like the song, but that doesn't mean i support what that side is saying/doing. I think the best course of action now is no more collabs. I hate it, but i don't want to see the fighting of STAY's anymore

  • @susyfrnco

I'm sorry for the messages you received, some people just don't know about boundaries .
People these days just don't know what respect others points of view is anymore. If you choose to boycott, please don't attack anyone, stop dehumanizing people, stop using the z* word without thinking, and stop discrediting the work of the kids. And if you're not boycotting, stop engaging in fights, stop being ignorant, look for other ways to help, and stop harrasing people. Also, you're not a bad person, you're not a z*, you're not disgusting, you're not shitty.
We all have our own ways to help, maybe someone doesn't belive in boycotting a song will help, and they prefer to share gofundmes links, to go outside and protest, etc. LET THEM BE! If you think it will help YOU DO YOU! But stop fighting, that doesn't help anyone! Talk with each other, use your OWN criteria, don't follow others opinions just because you're afraid of social violence. Find a common ground and unite! We all live in the same world, we all know what is happening. This matter isn't black & white, theres a big gray spectrum. Y'all should realize that, and respect that.

The same goes the other way for me..attacking people and/or the artist for making/reacting to the song is ridiculous. All you have to do is not stream/watch don't spread hate and don't attack people because they don't agree with your opinions. Everyone has a right to their own opinions/views wether they decide to keep it to themselves or put it out there for people. This song was made about a year ago so I'm personally not sure when all the information about Puth came out or how everything came about but I personally will not send hate to anyone. And right we can’t love and support people who don’t care about genocide
    Palestine will be free
And finally people can’t hate because you don’t agree this is your opinion and it’s a good opinion and you are standing with the right team ❤️

Hi, as a stay that has been boycotting the single and is part of trying to inform other stays about why we shouldn’t support this single because of the people involved, charlie and Johnny Goldstein(producer). We just want people to be aware that charlie has a long problematic history. Some of the earliest problematic behaviors was his poor and disturbing behavior towards Little Mix, especially, towards Jade. To the point that the member, to this day, act as that single dose not exist. He is a r🍇 apologist, being very vocal about his support of Dr. Luke(music producer) who was emotionally and s*xually abusive to Kesha. Stating that people should not focus on his crimes because he’s a talent producer/ musician. He also tweeted that he would love to produce 6in9ine an album for free once he got of prison, after he was charged with multiple crimes that included, ch*ld s**ual related crimes, assault and kid**ping. He’s also a known Zionist and Trump supporter, which just leaves a very bad taste on people because of their very harmful ideologies. As for Johnny Goldstein, the other main producer of the single, he is also a know Zionist, and ex IOF/IDF (Israeli-an Occupied Forces). And if you have seen any videos that have come out of 🍉you would understand why that is such a red flag.
Both charlie and Goldstein name are all over the songs credits, more so then even 3racha, meaning they are the one profiting the most from this single not skz, not 3racha. Why should we give our money to people who have such little value towards others. We don’t want these type of people to be associated with skz.
I understand the argument that the industry is full of horrible people, which is true, however, our biggest hope is desire going into the boycott was to show jype that none of their artists should work with such people, especially Zionist. Our money shouldn’t give such people a platform to continue to be part of the industry, and continue to spread such hateful ideologies. It’s better to spend our money on donating to gofundmes, and other organizations that are working to help the people of 🍉, as well raising awareness of what is going on.
However, at the end of the day it’s up to everyone to make their own decision, wether they will continue to give a platform to such people(charlie, Goldstein, other Zionist) or not. Hope that answers your question. ❤
Btw, this was a very short summary, many stays have made videos and threads, that have photo evidence and video evidence about charlie and Goldstein, that go into much more details. ❤

What even.. this people who send you messages are literal kids, if they're real ones they have a chance to grow, and if not, well, it's a pity.
It's your choice and it's totally fine, I personally would feel myself hypocrite avoiding song, because in my opinion it's actually do nothing, and Puth just said stupid sh*t, he physically didn't do anything (well, as I know) so he is better that a lot of people, just disgusting being. For me it is just music collab with smn I don't care about and don't like, so I listen to it.
But for a lot of people it may be personal, so judging them cause they feel uncomfortable about collab is inhuman actually...

I was so happy when i didnt see your reaction to this single when it dropped because I'm boycotting too its very obvious to me why... So many things are so wrong with this single its making me sick... The whole song is mainly produced by 2 zionists too... Like the biggest thing isnt just him on the song... the credits look worse... even the ot8 version has still all Puths credits... Not a skz song to me... Anyways sad you had to defend yourself like that, you should be proud that you put that boundary for yourself and stand up for your morals and values!

Aydin, I've been following you since you found SKZ, which was about when you started your channel. This is your channel, you have the right to do what you think is right. I apologise in advance for this long reply, but I want to share a take I've seldom seen in this entire angry and ugly discourse.
IMO the originals argument for the stance against the song is flawed. I am indifferent to Chuck (barely listened to his music) but I have seen no definitive evidence of his support for all he has been accused of. Has he said stupid things? Seems to? Does he put his foot in his mouth? I read an article where he said he did. Did he apologise to Kesha? I read it. It’s dated 2016 (8 years ago). Last year in a moment of global horror, did he express a humane reaction of shock and sympathy? Yes (the infamous tweet doing the rounds). Did I too? Yes, in *that* moment, if anyone has empathy, humanity was horrified. Has he continued to show support for all these causes he is accused of? I can’t find the evidence.
SO if those accusations are possibly not as accurate as they have been virally broadcast to be, then all subsequent accusations of anyone’s guilt by association are flawed.
What is truth? There is a gen0cide. It is more horrific than that single day in October. There are influential governments and companies in power who could stop this but won’t. We can protest, donate, etc because this is about all we, as individuals, can do in our shared helplessness of the global situation.
But we should not use rabid cancel culture as a weapon. We should be careful because the same fingers we point in self righteousness at others, make be pointing back at us if we slip up. Just look at all the hypocrisy accusations flying around about still following HYBE which you are copping. Arguing about inconsistency or “hypocrisy” does not prove that the original behaviour was right or wrong.
Many people either way are lobbing virtual bombs at each other. How does that make the online world better than the real one? 🤷
💯 People need a lot more humility and much less self righteousness. No one is perfect. Peace only comes by dialogue not by wishing virtual d3@th threats to each other which just nullifies the causes we obviously care about. Build bridges, not reinforce walls. Be respectful. NO ONE has the right to bully anyone to follow any viewpoint. People need to make their own decisions. Dialog. Learn. Band together for a better way. Divided humanity will always fall and while we are fighting in the trenches, the actual villains (our governments, etc.) will get away.
Tomorrow it may be the figurative “you” in the firing line for a careless word or action you said with the information you had at the time. Cancel culture assumes we are all fixed for life and have no redemption (some people fit that category but most people should be given the grace to learn to change). If people are open to teachable moments throughout life, we can ALL change to become better human beings and solve the h@teful position the world is in right now from so many directions. If anyone reading this wants to think about this further, watch the video below. 🙏

Aydin I love you but you are absolutely doing a double standard by listening to bts. If you don’t wanna support people who are for Israel your support shouldn’t go towards just people but company’s also. Every time you listen to bts you make Hybe more money.
