Away Down The River

Here is the piece i've been reworking this past winter. "Away" is a tone poem based off the poem where go the boats? by Robert Louis Stevenson. I chose this poem for how it reflects the way children sincerely ask big questions and how honest the answers are that they come up with. Suggesting that if we, as a society, look at the world through the lens of a child, we can bypass the redundant hurdles of adulthood to collectively solve our greater issues. Bringing forth a more peaceful and united world.
