The old sci-fi had a feeling of wonder/dread/amusement/creepiness to it. It truly galvanized your imagination and stimulated your feelings of fear and angst. Gosh I miss it.
@@theoldwitchsoul9929 Weird for the 2002 - 2009 like the creature pet kisses a woman, boy gets crushed by a giant's foot after he grows a beanstalk with a sprayer, sumo wrestler turned into multiple lucha wrestlers, woman turned into a frog, baby breathes fire, monk with a dragon on his head that eats a crow, porcupine turned into a pufferfish, man becomes pufferman in the elevator, and a transforming truck.
Not gonna lie this makes me feel so nostalgic I started watching those bumpers when that fire breathing baby appeared... man things have changed a lot I mean the shows were way better then. These bumpers just show how in the past people had imagination and now everything is bland and I mean bland
The car bumper is so cool I wish cars could do just that we no longer have to worry about stressful parking plus the de-aging water is very cool talk about the fountain of youth
I wish the people who runs the Syfy channel nowadays had it still remain as "Sci-Fi" and had still used the bumpers from 1:25 to 4:55 and had still shown original films and still shown films such as Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989) and maybe even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991).
I wish Sci-Fi would bring them back. I even have a few ideas of what they can do: One has a bearded metalhead playing guitar EVH style until the neck of the guitar turns into a snake and coils around his neck startling him. That is until the snake kisses his nose instead of biting him. He then looks at the camera with a "What the hell was that?" expression while the creepy chime plays. Another can have a samurai showing off his sword wielding it around furiously until he falls to pieces while the chime plays. One of the big bad wolf about to attack Little Red Riding Hood. We only see the back of her cape until she turns around and is revealed to be a reptilian creature that breathes fire scaring away the wolf. The wolf whines like a puppy while the chime plays. Some Aladdin looking guy rubs the lamp and instead of a genie, a giant hand pulls him into the lamp while the chime plays. A little girl is upset because her cat is in a tree and some guy stretches himself up by extending his legs to the tree and brings the kitty down making the girl happy. Cue the chime. A guy on a chopper rides away from a bank he robbed and while the police are chasing him, the motorcycle grows wings and turns into a dragon. They fly away after the dragon blows fire on a police car which ends with the creepy chime. A Mexican guy does the hat dance around his sombrero and when he puts it on, the sombrero swallows him up like a snake and falls to the ground while the chime plays. A sumo wrestler goes skydiving and once he jumps out of the plane, his parachute fails to open. He screams as he falls to his supposed doom. That is until he lands on a desert and the impact makes the whole ground collapse and become another Grand Canyon. The chime then plays. A kid puts a penny on the railroad track and when a freight train speeds down the track, it hits the penny and the train starts to float up into the sky while the chime plays. A painter paints a picture of a lady until the paintbrush starts moving on its own and facepaints the guy. He looks in the mirror all startled by what just happened while the chime plays. In a spooky forest, a woodpecker pecks on a tree until the tree flicks it off like a bug followed by the tree laughing meanly. Cue the chime. A mafia boss slurps a plate of spaghetti but he also slurps in the plate, the tablecloth and even the whole table. He wipes his mouth with a napkin while the chime plays. Two cowboys in a gun duel are about to shoot each other but instead of bullets, 2 mallets pop out and whack each one in the head. The chime then plays. A lumberjack with a black beard is hiking the woods until a grizzly bear encounters him. His beard then grabs the bear's arm and tosses it over the river. The chime plays.

Does anyone remember an old sci-fi channel bumper, which was animated? It featured a spindly robot with a long head and I think it attacks some homeless guy and decapitates him? I've been looking for this for ages because it really creeped me out as a kid, but to no avail...
Does anyone have a clip or remember the one with the girl playing hopscotch and at the end she turns around and has a demonic face? I've been looking through videos on here and can't find it :'(
