Switzerland has some of the most scenic train rides in the world. Crossing forests, tunnels and bridges across the Alps, the Bernina Express is a dream for a lot of people. The magic of this train takes another dimension in winter when all the mountains are covered of fresh snow.
We have experienced the most beautiful train journey in the world and its Bernina express is more about the experience than reaching from Point A to B.
In one day we saw three so beautiful places by booking the bus tour from -
- Milan
- Lake Como
- Tirano
- St Moritz
In this tour 2nd class ticket is included and if you want to upgrade you can if its available.
Our Experience : It was really good and worth spending 149$ for seeing two famous tourist places along with the most beautiful train ride in the world.
If you want to book separately from Tirano to St Moritz
A valid ticket and a seat reservation is needed which you can get from Rhätische Bahn website.

Originally from Delhi, India, we met in our college where came in love relationship.
As we got our jobs in different cities and it turns into a long distance one in 2011.

During the summer, a Rhaetian Railway (RhB) bus runs between Lugano and Tirano and vice versa, connecting with the BERNINA EXPRESS to and from Chur. The bus is also called BERNINA EXPRESS and is included in all passes (Eurrail, Interrail, Swiss Travel Pass, Graubünden Pass etc.).

Its not bernina, Its normal train. Bernina has panoramic roof

Yes you can sit on first come first serve basis .. no allotment as such prior to your entry in train. They also give you option during the tour to choose for First Class by paying some extra money 🙌🏻

Why is it the glass windows didnt extend to the top making it very scenic? But in the ads the bernina express shows windows that extends to top?
Yes. The bernina express do have windows extended upto top in First Class. You can definitely upgrade to first class.

on single entry visa of italy can you enter zurich and return back to italy??
With a single-entry Schengen Italy Visa, the holder can enter Italy (and any other Schengen area country) only once. Sometimes it is possible to get snow in October, but if you want snow for sure better to go between December-March
