*Error* - in round 4 I forgot that the upgraded version of Chomp has the "swift" keyword, which means they would have immediately attacked for 2 damage and an injury. I think I still would have won though. 0:00 - Introduction 0:36 - Overview and Set-Up 5:42 - Round 1 17:39 - Round 2 24:55 - Round 3 31:37 - Round 4
So glad I managed to find a copy from a local online store! I love how they managed to make both the climbers and the leviathans feel and play so differently. Can't wait to see what they will come up with for the expansion!
Thanks for sharing. I didn't back the KS (not sure why not), but after seeing this play through I gave it a second look, decided to get it (if I could find it anywhere) and found a copy on eBay! It was the seller's last copy! Yippee. And, it didn't cost much more than the KS w/ shipping price.
Thanks for the video!! im absolutely loving this game! i noticed an error in the beginning: whenever you deal with a threat card with a choice (i.e. "or") you have to choose an option that you can actually fulfill. You wouldnt have been able to choose "push up" with Cheer since he was already at the starting row, and so would have had to choose "lose 2 grip", or at least that's how i interpreted the rules on that. let me know if you disagree :) either way wonderful playthrough keep it up!
Great play! Love this game. At 22:36, you lost grip with Hidden Stash which has the Secure keyword, so it should have gone to your hand. So, that balances out the Swift keyword; you’re good!
Upgraded (and maybe basic?) Chomp says it's Swift, which I believe means it happens at the start of your turn, not after your turn, and you didn't do that.
So the first red spot is on my space. You only resolve terrain effects when you move ON them, not off. For the second spot, I used a card effect that jumped me straight 2 spaces away. When you use cards or the jump action or glides, you don’t resolve the in-between spaces
Besides the Mutation pack, how can the difficulty be increased? I would've assumed that with the highest complexity for everything, this would've been a lot more challenging than it seemed to be. Thanks for the video!
I could’ve started one more difficulty level higher, which already would have almost certainly gotten me killed here. But yes, that and the mutation pack are the main difficulty levers. I can’t imagine winning on highest difficulty AND with a mutation at the same time 😅

Oh good. Another game you’ve gotten me to follow with the intent of backing the reprint. Thanks Mike 😂
I accept no responsibility!!! :)

Wow, you work quickly! Hope you enjoy it :)

Yup, you are 100% right, my mistake!

Dang it, I ALWAYS forget about secure. It's random and infrequent enough in triggering that I forget to watch for it :)
I can't find anything on where to buy this, their site says nothing?
There are very limited copies floating around, but your best bet is the reprint campaign (coming in 2-3 months I believe).

Good catch! I added a note about that error. I think I would have still won though :)
At 12:15, aren't you supposed to take 2 damage since you moved over 2 red spots when you moved left to avoid the attack?

@@OneStopCoopShop Good to know! I was worried that the difficulty would be too easy and that bores me on cooperative games. Haha
