I had this happen apart from (at a riding school, not a very good one i must say) they decided to put an ill-fitting saddle on a horse that bucks a bit without seeing if it actually fit her or not and i was cantering around and she was bucking a lot and suddenly i just noticed myself going sideways and i shouted "I'm falling..." XD and then landed and laughed it off. Few minutes later while cantering, my whole stirrup fell off too... an interesting lesson i must say.
Omg, when I was at a camp a few weeks ago we were playing musical numnas/saddlepads and i was on a tiny pony and i forgot to tighten my girth an when I was getting up the saddle slipped under him😂😂

I'm getting my first horse soon! She is a cremello quarter horse named electra, and she is 3! I am so excited! Edit: just wanted to clarify a few things, first electra is broke, but she is still pretty green. Second, I am not a green rider, and I have riden many horses that are older, but less trained then her, so I have plenty of experience. Third, I am not getting her just because she is a "baby". I want her because I have been working with her since she was 2, so I have bonded with her, and I also want a horse that I can have the pleasure of training, instead of just buying an already bombproof horse. Lastly, I have worked for many years to get to this point, so it isn't just buying her that I'm excited about, but me being able to know that I worked hard for this. I hope that cleared things up a bit.😊❤🐎 Also I wanted to ask the haters to please not tell me that I am dumb for getting a young horse, this is my disition that I buy one that is this way, and if this comment gets more hate I will be taking it down, because I do not want there to be hate on me for doing what I feel is best for me. Thanks for all the people that are being supportive though!

Esme, I just have to say, thank you so much for being you 😊 my pony, Solo, has recently pulled a ligament in his leg. His box rest is over but I’m still building his leg strength up again by hacking him out walking. I’ve been to told that I can’t canter, gallop or jump on him once he has recovered. Something that I’ve always wanted to do with Solo is go galloping on the beach, which I was never able to do, and now I can’t ever do. Also, last night one of our dogs went missing and she still isn’t here this morning. We went looking for her and we still can’t find her. Thank you Esme as all this is quite sad and tricky to adjust to but you, the horses, and the donkeys have made me happier and your positive attitude has made me happier ❤️
