Hark how the bells,
Sweet silver bells,
All seem to say,
Throw cares away,
Christmas is here,
Bringing good cheer,
To young and old,
Meek and the bold,
Ding-dong, ding-dong,
That is the song,
With joyful ring,
All carolling.
One seems to hear
Words of good cheer
From everywhere
Filling the air.
Oh, how they pound,
Raising their sound,
O'er hill and dale,
Telling their tale.
Gaily they ring
While people sing songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here.
Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas
Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas
On on they send,
On without end,
Their joyful tone
To every home.
------------------------
And hark,
O hear how the bells,
Those sweet silver bells,
They fill the air,
And hark,
O hear how the bells they chime,
Those sweet silver bells,
This Christmas time,
And I fly away,
And I throw my cares away!
Those sweet silver bells!
And hark,
How gaily those bells do chime,
O’er hill and dale,
They tell their tale.
With joyful ring I hear them sing,
All through the night
Those sweet silver bells,
And I fly away,
And I throw my cares away!
Those sweet silver bells!
Have to say they are absolutely amazing live, saw them in Cardiff at the Acapela studio for the first time a few years back after hearing the Virgin Queen soundtrack and they have been back three times with their Christmas shows and what a great way to start the season off. Love this take on Carol of the Bells which was one of the songs they played live a few nights back at the Acapela. So impressed that one of the group managed to soldier on even though she was losing her voice and still sounded fantastic. Go and see them if you get the chance, hoping they return to Cardiff again next year :)
Sublime suis époustouflé, merci à Anne M pour ce moment magique ❤❤
I have just discovered you from the new single by the great Orbital! How wonderful!
Katherine Blakes vocals on this are just haunting. The way the Baebes have done a macabre version is unbelievable. Bloody love it
Love this version they have done. Sounds so good , Christmassy but mystical and other worldly
Love the way the baebes have made a sweet Carol very dark and eerie this version is amazing
What an extraordinary arrangement of the song. Wonderful. Thank you.
There's not much of the original carol, so any arrangement that wrings more out of the material gets my vote, and this one gives it a twist of the contemporary as well as touches of the archaic. Intriguing and clever!
Never one for Christmas or carols of any type but love this one!
I love the creepy vibes, sounds and cemetery setting for a joyous Christmas carol, it works surprisingly well.
Gave me tingles from start to finish, love this and looking forward to seeing you perform in Cornwall next week xxx
Very beautiful ♥️
Good music too. I recommend Kings Return's acapella version too I've seen on this platform.
This is hauntingly beautiful. In a good way.
Que hermosa Interpretacion, 😀😀😀, muchas gracias por regalarnos su arte.
I wouldn't wanna hear this from my flat either
Lol. I wondered if you covered this song and lo!! You do!!💕💕💕💕💕
I think I got the message. As always, congrats
I love that you're posting again.
I've always loved this one, i just wish they'd sing it in the original Ukrainian... That sounds amazing fr
This should have been a song on The Nightmare Before Christmas.. it sounds very Tim Burton-y!
Looks like a Ken Russell film c. 1965...except without the great music he championed.
Слава Україні!
Main vocals way too loud. Not sure if it's just the video but it takes so much away from the song *the fade in and out on the video is also off putting tbh.
I thought Halloween and graveyards and witches was over?
Its supposed to be Christmas time.
You know ... happy happy ... Jesus' birth ... Peffernusse & Stollen and pine trees and pretty little lights? No?
Meh ...but what do I know.
The most famous Christmas story of all time (A Christmas Carol) is a ghost story.
You mean the heathen trees of Yule? :D
