If you really have 25 gallons in the ceiling you really have a good chance of the entire ceiling caving in. In fact it looks like the ceiling is sagging compared to other videos. I would move everything out of the room and prepare for the inevitable.
The option you shared at the end is garbage. Don't put a cap on the turd of a roof you have. Rip it down and build it right. The problem will always exist as long as the current roof remains. Water always want to find the low spot and will always find an opening. Do it once and do it right.
damn...no one wants to spend....thousands on stuff like that....it tough. I only HOPE our roof last at least another 10 years. If not....I better start working some overtime.......
hope it all works out

Yeah it's pretty bad. I just went up and swept all the standing water off. The roofer is coming this weekend, time to re-roof it.
A gallon of water weighs 8 pounds. If you really have 25 gallons in the ceiling a collapse will occur and soon. That ceiling is ticking
LycomingWarrior I know that
maybe it's just the camera angle, but it looks like that ceiling in your office is on the verge of collapsing at any moment.

Easier said than done. Like I've said, that means a whole new room and porch. Walls and everything.
Do it right. I know it costs a lot. It will add value to your house. Right now that room and roof detract from the value of your house.
LycomingWarrior Obviously but that's not the point. There isn't $5k just sitting around for this. And we aren't selling ANY time soon.
Vid from day 351?

10 years? Lucky if it last 10 months
