Givenchy leather YASSS. Now that is a forever piece!!! and GOOD FOR YOU leaving that Dior behind--I did the same with a battered & stained Burberry trench coat a while back and do not regret it at all.
ooh and I think the Givenchy is meant to be belted given the loops above the side pockets!
The green jacket is a military fleece. The velcro portions are for your rank, branch and name patches. Between me and the hubby, we have about 20 of them. They keep you pretty warm.

So much more exiting going to a thrift store , I have done this for 40yrs , it’s fab finding pieces that you can’t find in the department store now . Love your vids ,you just have a lovely persona about you.💕
You literally have the BEST style and offer so much inspiration for when I go thrifting. That lacy black peasant top and the sheer collared button-up Express top were simply chef’s kiss for me, I wish you would’ve grabbed it!

Definitely the right call with the Dior coat. If the condition had been good heck yeah I'd pay up but not way would I drop that kinda money on a damaged item, yeah if it was cheap it would be worth trying to repair but not for $100. Stores just see a designer tag and just think $$$$$ regardless of the condition

I always take into consideration if I can repair it myself.. (yes, I took home economics and know how to hand sew).. especially with a liner that no one will really see.. ALSO, try taking it to the front and showing them the damage, and see if they will give you a markdown.. good luck.

Im glad you left it , its goot to invest in quality pieces that would last , its just a trench with a dior tag at the end of the day mean that ,
I took the liner off of another coat that was about the same size, but you can buy liner at any fabric store and seam rip the original to use as a pattern and giving it some seam allowance if you know how to sew or can even use a fabric fuse by e6000. That’s if you want to do it on the cheap but that kind of coat I definitely would have purchased it and paid someone to re line it. Also I can’t believe you left the Chanel sweater behind. Do you know how much that was worth? My Chanel beanie was $2000. Also, a little disappointed you left the Beatles sweatshirt when you could’ve cropped it. When you go thrift you have to go with the thought in mind of how can I repurpose an item to make it part of your personal style.

Ah, no regrets about the Dior Trenchcoat. If an item is totally destroyed and you wear it, it lioks shabby . And no one will see the label anyway, when it is on.

Heck no, girl, you did the right thing not buying the jacked up Dior coat. (IMO) I mean, a name is a name is a name. Money doesn't grow on trees and that $100 could purchase you and your family several items that will last for years. Smart decision (again IMO)!

Sounds crazy I know, but when I find those I have a dog brush comb that I have purchased (ONLY for jacket use) to brush out Synchilla style fleece, it works like magic!

Such a great haul- good stuff! I would have left the Dior jacket as well, especially with that price. If it had been super duper cheap, maybe you could have it relined- but good call leaving it. It's currently freezing in AZ too, lol, I'm a wimp! I've been shopping for jackets, jeans and warm sweaters too! Got a Land's End puffer recently and love it. It's navy blue :)

Hi . No point of buying the Christian Dior tench for $100 and it’s not in a good condition. Good choice though with the Givenchy leather jacket. So funny coz I tried on a pair of nicely tailored pants and just found out it’s a vintage Christian Dior . Was happy coz it fits perfectly 😊

Duh should’ve gotten the Dior trench coat. Even with professional tailoring the cost would be a far cry less then a new. You’re such a fashion plate(ha) it’s a basic classic look to build on. It’s a wardrobe basic. Instead of getting the Sanderson sisters sweatshirt.
You should have donated the thing you had on and bought the Coco top and shame on you too for leaving the Dior coat, some things are worth spending some professional repair and restoration but l do like you and Hi to your mom❤
