I went back to my parents for christmas and it was nice to see them, but I was sooo triggered! I have moved cities, done soo much work on myself and was in a place of contentment, but going back to an old place makes you realise how far you come, but what still hurts inside of you.. Thank you. I have been thinking recently about how to get in touch with my creative, playful inner child. Perhaps what is needed is a sense of curiosity and receptivity, of flow. The analogy of the cloak really resonates, there's a certain sense of safety that goes alongside with the limitations, along with a sense of fear of what will happen once I take the cloak off. Of what others will think of me without it. Of what I will think of myself. Not trusting that the proverbial sun will continue to shine after I've taken it off. So maybe for me it's a case of trying it out, experimenting, what would it be like if I took it off, to see what it's like just for a minute or so. Of finding situations and people to be around where I feel safe to take it off, if only briefly. Just to see what it's like.
