setting Nissan HS309-A stereo English Notations

- One of the most mind boggling things is why Japanese vehicles makers would put such a nice navigation system with no way of adjusting the clock or better still a language option.
This titorial is just to help people with hs309-a systems in their car atleast get some english notations. It still is very limited in its use as when you press on it, the next page will be in Japanese. Anyone who can help us get a boot sd card for this system with language option to English will be of great help!
How can I change for Note 2008
I have the same unit and theres no english option, could only change it to bilingual which doesnt fully convert to english.

How do i activate the setting..? It won't allow me to press them .. do the car need to be on drive..?
No it doesn't, all you need to do is to turn ignition on (1st stop).

The stereo in my car which is the same model, does not show the fifth option for language, what should I do?
What you need is the fourth option written 'NAVI'. when you press it, look for the miniature screen among the options, when you press it, it will give an option for the ’English notations’.
This works great for navigation however the radio is still set to japanese, do you know how I can change that please?
Unfortunately no @Rosina west. I think these stereos were made very rigid. You are even Lucky to be able to use navigation. Mine you can't even upload a different map, i am stuck to the Map of Japan. Even adjusting the clock is a problem!
