I’m in the UK and the TV chefs always make such a big deal about fondant potatoes. They criticise contestants on the competitions to the point that I thought they would be too much aggro. How fortuitous for me to find you on TH-cam! Can’t wait to try making these, thank you so much for posting!

These potatoes look fantastic. I also thought they looked like scallops. I'm going shopping today, I will pickup 15 lbs. of potatoes and make them indeed. For Christmas a perfect dish to to bring to my son @ daughter-in-laws house.

Chef Ange, I happened across you channel today and have viewed several of your video's. I'm always looking for new and healthy recipes. I am so totally excited to have found your channel. I don't cook with wine, because I don't know what to buy. I know you say in your videos to just use a cheap white wine, but I still don't know what to get. Do I get a sweet wine, a dry wine etc... Can you recommend a brand that I can get.
Also, I am a HUGE potato lover, but I've never had them cooked like this before. I'm gonna try this recipe, and I think even my finicky husband will like it. Thanks for sharing your awesome recipes.

Love getting comments like this! I prefer a dry white wine like chardonnay on hand for cooking. Any brand will do. I usually get the cheapest and with a screw top so it's easy to reuse.

@@ChefAnge You were going to use all of them. Cool. Your family must look forward to dinner every night. I love that you use mostly whole foods, too.

Great video….do you think a yam would hold together this shape?
I think dressing yams with brown sugar and melted marshmallow might be fun.
Would it be called Sweet Fondant Potatoes? Thanks again Chef.

They can definitely work just be careful transferring them to the serving platter. I would use a spatula and not tongs.
