If you are dealing with large data set then Joins are better but if you are going to bring only aggregated data from the another source/table then Blending is good in that case… but since the introduction of Relationship in Tableau we use this data model..

Crossdatabase join is data from different sources ..this is a normal join I guess ??
Yes.. it’s normal join and you can use same data source and different data sources as well in Cross-database join
