  • The Bolt EUV: 18-Months and 43,000 Miles Later
I have owned the 2023 Bolt EUV, Premier, Redline Edition in Summit White for the past 549 days. I can HONESTLY say, without anyone bribing or paying me a single dime, that this is the BEST car I have ever owned. We will see how the Hyundai IONIQ 6 plays out over the course of the next few months.
Considering I have owned 21 vehicles over the past 40+ years, including Datsun, Ford, Mazda, Pontiac, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, and Chevrolet-that says a lot. I will pop up a picture of all the cars I have owned (or at least similar models) during this video and discuss their overall qualities.
In this video, we will talk about:
    - 1:55 My Prior Cars
    - 5:30 My Driving and Car Ownership Experience
    - 6:50 Total Cost of Ownership
    - 8:47 New Aftermarket Additions
    - 9:05 The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Sustainability Fair and EV Car Show

I own a White 2023 Bolt EUV redline edition and love it too, an ideal commuter car or daily driver.

    Everything/$ winner!
I'm 9 deep on gassers, 3rd EV, 23 Bolt EV 2LT is the best, my BMW I3 and Fiat 500e both have their high points, beat all the gassers
Best gasser was 2001 Lexus IS300 or 93 Nissan 300ZX.

I liked my F-150. Had it for 15 years. But EXPENSIVE!

Cars - second biggest expense in life, I like to say where I can. All cars are used cars in a few years

@@jimsEVadventuresit would be very expensive to drive an F150 the miles that you drive. We have a Mach-E and an older Lincoln Navigator and the Navi gets 16mpg on a good day. I only drive it about 5000 miles a year. Our Mach-E on the other hand has 3800 miles in 3 months of operation and is extremely cheap to operate. The weather is a bigger factor on our electric bill than the car is! Last year in July we did almost 1800kwh amid weeks on end of 100+ temps, this year with cooler weather and an EV we did 1560 kwh in July. Go figure.

Cool update. Fun listening to all your cars owned over the years. Live in Tampa, can’t make Winter Park, but hope to bump into you one day. Cheers

Hey Jim. Do you have a video explaining how often you charge? I purchased a 2022 Bolt EUV, and I've been running down to 30% then charging level 3 back to 80%. Im installing a level 2 at my house, but should I plug in when needed or keep topped off all the time? Im just wanting to know what's best for the battery.

Jim, I believe that I have had a similar ownershipshistory as yourself. Potentially slightly longer--my first car in high school was a 1973 VW Super Beetle (Clementine Orange). Then the Pinto, a Nissan Sentra, a string of Saturns then my favorite car prior to the 2023 Bolt EUV was my 2003 Prius. That was a wonderful car and it had 230K miles when I gave it to a technical school to rebuild and refurbish. Then I had a 2020 Toyota Prius Prime BEV until this February when I got the Bolt. I agree with you--it's the best vehicle I have ever owned. It is a joy (an adventure) every time I get into it. Well engineered, fun to drive and very efficient. I love your videos. Keep going--tell it as you see it, share your facts and don't be daunted by the folks that engage in myths and falsehoods or just don't understand.
